Worst organization to work for. HR is ridiculous they do not care about their employees. They allow staff to be mistreated, and completely turn a blind eye at any sign of trouble. Gossip in the workplace is horrendous, upper management also engages in gossiping behaviours making staff feel inadequate, and unsafe. Confidentiality is non existent here, and there is next to no support for the community especially due to biases as everyone knows each other. This is an organization that has the funding, and capacity to do good in our community but they do not want to help at all. I will never work here again and will never refer people to work here. 

I totally enjoyed working at the Community Wellbeing Centre, and learned a lot more about what services we have to offer our community members.  We really do have a wonderful territory, and seniors and children are the focus of most of the services.  I enjoyed it very much because it allowed me to help others within the community with dignity, and compassion and understanding.  It also provides a sense of belonging as well.

The employees I worked with are wonderful, and open and friendly and I really miss them all.  It felt very much a family.

As all companies the MBQ has it's pros and cons. Lots of opportunities for growth, and learning both personally and professionally about your position as well as Indigenous culture and different ways to connect with the community. Differing opinions at times get in the way, lateral violence has been known to happen in the past, but overall this agency and community is very family oriented and as a parent I appreciated that aspect both personally and professionally. 

Good people but if you don't have an Indian status card the benefits are terrible.  Working with new technology so learning something every day.  Staff are very helpful and appreciate the work we do for them creating a good work environment.
Unfortunately, they have been underfunded for years but they are starting to get proper funding so we are able to upgrade the tools they need. 



I thoroughly enjoyed working for my community over the last six years on and off through contracts but unfortunately they do not have the funding to properly hire employees with benefits or pension incentives and therefore contracts were only available during those last six years, otherwise I would have wanted to stay being employed with them.

Overall my review with working under MBQ with the Tehatikhontontie Head Start was great. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with. The environment was very relaxed and well structured that made a day to day 40 hour work week very easy to work at. I really enjoyed leaning more to how kids react to certain activities and surroundings.

The administrative building is the best place. The staff there are so much fun and easy going. Buildings not associated with the admin building do not appreciate what you do and some managers do not support their staff. They know who they are.

I have and am still learning a great deal. Making sure that the businesses are running properly. Solving problems. Management is great and co workers are extremely helpful. The best part is when I can go to the local businesses and communicate with them

I worked there a long time and it was time for me to move on. Salary was too low for work done but the organization is underfunded so couldn’t improve pay. 

Opportunity to work with the community members of the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, also having the ability to make a difference within our community.  Working with the public
