A typical day at moloney electric would consist of constantly looking for the proper materials to work with as well as dealing management with little to no experience. This would lead to lack production in all aspects of the shop and would be extremely frustrating.
I learned a great deal when it came to the construction of pole top transformers. As well as how to work in a warehouse environment.
My co-workers for the most part were fun to work with and whoever trained me on a job would take the time to make sure i could complete whatever task i had right. The hardest part of the job would be dealing with the poor management that ultimately led to many layoffs because of the lack of materials.

I worked in the refurbishment/repair department in Spruce Grove, AB. Plant floor staff were easy and friendly to get along with. Top management however has destroyed the desire for all employees to enjoy their job. They cut out raises and limited you to speak out for improvement. It is run by a parent company from India and have filled many of the vacant management positions with people from their culture. I recommend not working or applying for a job with this company.

It wasnt the electrical job I thought it was going to be. I thought it was a normal Electrical company that I had normally worked for in which you go out and install wiring and fixtures in new and existing houses. It was more of an assembly line warehouse where they built and shipped Electrical Transformers. I worked along the assembly floor installing Kv bushings and fittings. The company was sold and closed within a few months of me working there. It was good experience for the summer as I learned how transformers were built.

Assembling of single and 3 phase distribution transformers, final inspection of transformers,wiring of tapchangers, lamination core n coil assembly, hooking up load break switches and various accessories requisted by customers,checking allignment of exterior doors, ratio testing of unit,leak test inspection

As an employee of Moloney Electric I felt like I was valued and was appreciated I was a student and felt like everyone took me under their wing i learned how to be part of a team and have learned that teamwork is essential to any job you do. I would highly recomend working at Moloney electric.

Typical day at work would be clocking in, get instructions on what to do if job was completed the day before if not continue on what you were doing. I learned to do assembling -wiring, lacing, putting electric transformer together. I enjoyed everything I did on the job.

Work environment was very good.   Work area was kept clean.  Followed standard operating procedure while performing every production task.  Made transformers for the windfarms. Enjoyed working with immediate supervisors and coworkers.

Easy place to work. Management staff are friendly so are co-workers and communication is very easy. Working in the warehouse can be described as reading and interpreting various types of blue print readings, bill of materials (BOM), quality assurance checks and so fourth.

The best thing about an upcoming firm is that they follow what is known as the "Cowboy strategy" going bang on to any challenge with a completely new approach every single time.
It gives you a feeling of responsibility towards the firm.

good place to learn how to work in a fast paced environment, management is friendly and supportive. the co-workers are good team players, the hardest part of the job was to reduce cost of production and increase sales.
