the place is a great job to work while in school or have any other priorities. they are very flexible with your availability (although before you pass probation which is 980 hours, they often dont take your availability into consideration). 
you work with your assigned residents and arent usually moved around, so you create meaningful bonds. although you are kind of thrown into the lions den and can be put into dangerous situations while not being prepared or properly trained to deal with some specific behavioural issues with some clients. 
if you are harmed, they do not do much to support.
there are no benefits unless full-time, and there is usually only one full-time staff per site. 
the culture is very toxic, a lot of employees and management are not supportive. 
but if you're there for the love of your work and residents, you will find the joy in working there despite the toxicity. 
they also pay for all trainings including CPI, CPR, Enema, Glucose monitoring, Lift etc. 
the pay is also pretty good, although the overnight pays are significantly less. 

The residents being supported are lovely, I feel honoured to support them in any way needed. Everything should revolve around those being supported however Montage lacks the ability to deliver quality wellness.
My negative review is souly my reflection on the company. There is absolutely no appreciation or recognition, managers play favouritism and are rude and the scheduling specialist does a very poor job. the job is unionized and they are very shady union. Trying to get a hold of them is like competing in an obstacle course. 

I have had an amazing time at Montage. The clients I've worked with have given me lots of opportunity for growth. Management is caring, compassionate, and driven to help their employees succeed. 
They provide relevant training on important topics and listen to your concerns. 
It is hard to have a work/life balance with this company as sometimes clients will need services more than expected or they may be calling down your phone all the time. 
The pay was good! 

The days are busy with getting the individuals supported ready to go to any appointments/activities.  
The evenings are slow as the individuals supported do not go out as much during this shift time. 
The hardest part about the job is communicating plans with other staff.
Most enjoyable part if that you get to work alone and interact one on one with the individuals supported. 
Managers are not present most of the time. Very independent work.

Working with people who are supported is the ultimate learning experience one could ever have, however, some co-workers aren't in the field for the right reason as they can be bullies to both the people that are supported and to other co-workers. If you speak up it goes against you. 


The people supported receives great care from the staff .
Management does not really treat all staff fairly. The night staff are treated poorly, recently all staff were given a cost of living wage increase, including retro pay but none given to the night staff. They claim to government instructed not to give wage increase to the night staff.

It's a great company on paper but in reality they have no respect for employees or the clients they serve. Very few staff is promoted on contract and less than few is confirmed in the position when the contract ends. 

It is non profit organization works with the funding from the goverment.Client oriented, all of the works are client centered or focusing on the client who we deliver services. Leaned supporting people with disability are differently abled. Supervisiory Jobs I practiced over there.

Routes  are pretty regular can be very busy , no  breaks , you kind of eat when you can or with the individual you are caring for. Individuals are kept busy during the summer. Manager turn over very high. Enjoyable part of day is individual happy at the end of your day.

people who has live there for 20 plus years still live in setting of 4 people other who just come in get beautiful condos and better care. the more independent you are the better treatment you get
