Mr. Gas

This job is great for students, you are able to do homework behind the counter at night when there are no customers. The manager is very down to earth and understandable is you have to call in sick as long as you find someone to work your shift. The hardest part is how fast pace it is, you are constantly multitasking whether it be dealing with customers while watching outdoors for people filling up on gas making sure they come pay and while watching customers inside the store, and working the till, answering the phone. Also, making sure no one is under age can be difficult if they are buying cigarettes or lottery. I loved the customers the most, everyone is so friendly and there are a lot of regular customers so you get to create bonds with people. Over all it is a very good place to work if you're okay working by yourself.

A typical day at work would include consistently providing customer service indoors and outdoors. I would multi-task by pumping fuel into more than one car at a time, ensuring the correct amount of gas filled each vehicle. I would also be running into the gas bar to provide customer service as a cashier.

Good and safe work environment for people who like to spend time to themselves not doing anything too demanding. Good management with lots of hours available.

I always kept myself busy during my shifts cleaning and maintaining the store while waiting for customers to come to the store. While helping customers, I was cashing them out for their purchases. My employees were very trusted and I felt very comfortable in this workplace.

Most of the time you are alone, which can prove to be trying if there are failures in communications, equipment, or deliveries. Time management is the single greatest thing to learn and use when working alone or in a group. its used heavily here.

I loved working as the attendant, the environment of the staff and the company on there other hand was horrible. It's good work but you could honestly get the same experience by working elsewhere and will probably have a more secure employment.

I really enjoyed working here....great atmosphere....great boss...laid back at times when not busy. easy place to work unsupervised. great hours. Hardest part was handling many cars at once by yourself.

It wasn’t to bad, they just didn’t pay right but other than that it was pretty good I learned things pretty slow but once I got it I knew how to work everything. 

Learned a lot about working with upper management, with employees, with suppliers, with customers. It was my first major job before starting my career, and I appreciate the leg up it gave me to move on with my life.

Mr. Gas was my first job, I did enjoy my time working there because the atmosphere wasn't toxic. My manager gave me all the respect I wanted and never belittled me in anyway
