The company did a great job getting me prepared and ready for the job knowing the expectations and policies before starting. A typical day at work with Mrs. Tutor includes meeting with the students and creating a learning environment to engage in the lesson and build a positive relationship with the students and their families. The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing the progress and improvements, and the hard work of my students. The job has flexibility with the schedule of the families and your schedule, you can take on students according to the time and day that aligns for both parties. The company makes great efforts to ensure the time and effort of the tutor is not neglected. I feel that the policies of the company ensure that I am protected while working with Mrs. Tutor and they are there to support if any challenging situations occur. The hardest part about the job is really only the time is takes to prepare and have materials ready before hand, especially when you see the student more than once in a week to make sure the content is paced and that there is enough material to cover for that time.

Working for Mrs. Tutor has been a great experience. They pay higher than any other company I could find on Indeed. I started getting students right away and they have filled up my evenings and weekends with tutoring students. 

I like that I never have to ask clients for payments or worry about getting paid on time. The few times that some of my clients were late on their payments Mrs. Tutor still paid me on time and dealt with the clients without the need for me to get involved. I really appreciate that kind of security and service on their part.

A typical day of work is preparing a lesson ahead of time, emailing the parents a couple days ahead of time and then going to tutor. While at tutoring it is about being present, and helping the students work through the sheets and or lesson you provide as well as homework. I have learned to help students read better. I enjoy the reflection after each session. The most difficult part of the job is figuring out what each child needs from a behavioural perspective, to motivate them. The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the students improve and enjoying the lesson.

Working at Mrs Tutor for the past few years has given me a new appreciation for my job as a teacher and educator. In my many years of teaching and tutoring for various schools and tutoring companies, I have yet to find another organization that puts its teachers and students before profits.

Working with Mrs. Tutor has provided me with great experience teaching outside of the classroom, in a 1-on-1 format. Typically, I tutor students every night of the week both online and in home. The management is excellent and communication is great. I am a teacher as well, so having the flexibility to create your own schedule is incredible. I love helping my students succeed in their academics and individually as a person, and Mrs. Tutor has aided me in doing so. I highly recommend this tutoring company!

I spend my day preparing lessons, tutoring students, and connecting with parents. The hours are fairly flexible and I mainly work independently. I’ve improved my teaching skills and adapted to students’ needs. Management has been supportive and easy to reach. The workplace is friendly. One challenge is the unpredictable schedule of students. Overall it’s been great and I enjoy helping  students.
