NASON CONTRACTING

Nason was a good company to work for and I would recommend them in the future. I learned a lot from them as it was work I didn't have much experience in. Management was easy to work with and made sure everyone was involved in any after work activities.

The hardest part of the job was being away from home, we had to travel on our days off and worked a 10/4 so it felt we only had 3 days off.

Since it was a LOA job we got the opportunity to camp and make some extra cash, there was also a lake close by so we could go fishing and enjoy some wakeboarding after work.

A 14/7 schedule would be better for a better life/work balance.

I have gained more knowledge about controls, valves and pumps in the water and waste water industries. There are such a variety of things to learn. Use to be a smaller "Family " type company, now Nason is part of a bigger corporation that is part of the Bird construction family. This opens new doors to the industrial world. The service side of the company is small and for the most part working with my peers is pretty good.

It was very easy in the field to do my daily tasks and push the project. With daily information and guidance from PM's who where very good at their jobs. The PM's would also arrive onsite and do a site walk through. Then provide me with a punch list of outstanding tasks. Or tasks that had priority and needed to be completed. Working with PM's who where very good at their job makes a huge difference in the field.

very unorganized with little to no job security. Too many people involved on every job. must pay for your own flights to and from sites! yes they reimburse you but very unprofessional. on the upside, they pay well, if they don't lay you off.

good while it lasted. i learned how to become more self motivated. management could have been better. my co-workers are now my good buddies. the hardest part of my job was not being home. the most enjoyable part was sense of accomplishment there.

Decent pay but production is achieved through threats of losing your job. Lead hand is nice until he had a bad day at home then will take out his frustration on workers. Lots of layoffs throughout the year.

Extremely poor management and they lacked the skill set to run jobs , management swore at the staff in meeting and treated everyone like they were way below there standards and everyone was stupid

Nason Contracting is a great company to work for, gaining work experience and learning about the scope of the job also gaining knowledge towards the job as well

I really enjoyed working with the great people there. Our GF foreman and PM were great. The work was very diverse and a great experience. Pay was kind of  low but the job was stress free. I would sign up again for sure

The people in the head office weren't bad but all of the people I worked alongside in the shop made it difficult for me. Never had any problems with the foreman or supervisor but just some of the welders i was working with.
