A typical day involved cleaning bathrooms, classrooms, and hallways. I had to empty garbage cans and replace bags, sweep and mop the floors, dust shelves and desks. After everything was done I would use the floor buffer on as many floors as the time would allow, usually completing all floors by the end of the week and starting again the next week. 

I learned how to clean, a lot. 

It was very much an independent job so management and co workers weren't really seen too much.

The hardest part of the job was knowing it was temporary.

The best part of the job was the independence to go at my own pace, as long as the work got done, and starting and finishing where I wanted. I was also able to listen to music while I worked, which was a huge bonus.

NBCC has one of the friendliest work environments I have ever seen. I was responsible for assisting marketing, HR, and design. I called suppliers looking for price quotes and oversaw negotiating deals, then getting them approved. I traveled around to events and locations to support marketing efforts. I collected media for the design team and social media pages. I was included in office votes, and this made me feel like I had a voice and my opinion mattered (encouraging creativity). They allowed me to work on their official documents to improve layout.

I tutored a student for the Automotive Service Technician course. He needed assistance in a few of his classes. I enjoyed helping the student. The typical work day was only about 3-4 hours long. I learned how to help others in ways I didn't know I could. I learned more about vehicles as I was tutoring the student, gave me more knowledge. The management was great, was the client's family who had hired me and they made me feel at home. The hardest part of the job was saying goodbye to the client because he had succeeded. The most enjoyable part was seeing my client succeed.

A great and very energetic environment great staff and overall A +. the employer also  supplied a facilitator and provided all the necessary material and assistance to get the course ready for delivery to the pupils. The college is clean the other staff members work as a team in and every department.   

Good place to work but management changes so often and this causes programs to fall through the cracks. The organization has taken it direction in a way to eliminate any job security and only hiring primarily casual and term positions while eliminating full time programs 

NBCC is easily the most collaborative environment I have ever had the pleasure of working in  veteran staff are always helpful, and eager to help newcomers, and it is very much a team oriented atmosphere.

If you want to breath in binder and toxic fumes with nothing more than a dust mask then work here.  You get minimum wage but if you get everything done you get a bonus so you had people abandoning safety for money.  If you don’t work fast the other workers will blame you for the lost bonus.

I learned a lot of things doing this work. The greatest part of the job was seeing the work I did after it was done. I was assigned jobs each day and sent to do them. I take a lot of pride in my work.

One of the best organization that I worked with. Excellent work culture. They believe in collaboration, transparency, and trusting each other. Felt supported by the Management.

Been there about a year, one of the best jobs I've had.  it’s hard to make nearly 100k and have a job this easy and straight forward. Hours are good flexible and the managers are easy to get along with.
