A typical work week working for NBM Engineering is working remote yet also work in the office some days of the week. I can easily contact and reach my coworkers to collaborate and because of this it ensures that we are still very productive with our work. 
On the days I’m in the office, the vibe is very healthy and friendly, with coworkers collaborating in projects as well as enjoy some laughs here and there. Management is very accommodating and supportive with my growth in the company. I enjoy working alongside great coworkers, having a great time whilst being productive.  
Overall, it’s a great company that prioritizes both employee well-being and growth.

What is the best part of working at the company?
First job out of engineering grad, never felt appreciated working at NBM. Management is quite toxic, they don’t care as much in terms of safety for field team

Safety didn’t matter to upper management 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic management, but co workers were okay. Turn over was super high.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Lots of travel if in the field. And work quietly if worked in office

Working environment is so welcoming…

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I am a field worker.
So, if there’s rain, there is no work.
If there is no work, it’s either you charge it to your VLs or no pay at all.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s a friendly environment where you can ask directly any questions in mind to your supervisor and they will answer it right away.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Always busy and a lot of learnings.

I worked with NBM engineering during the final year of my university career, i was partnered with 5 other colleagues and was tasked with analyzing the operations of NBM Engineering to divulge a more efficient means of conducting them. My team and I were very innovative with our solution and actually designed a whole new interface and subsequently a software that would simplify the operations of NBM.

Team  is great and supportive, small company and will give you a lot of work exposure/ opportunities. main challenge is working with clients and contractors. May need to work extra hours during last quarter of the year due to the volume  of works but rest of the year you’d probably have the work life balance. They pay average.

Filed staff is very decent. HR and Management team is pretty Bad and inconsistent. Avoid it if possible as they will terminate you at their will without any probable reason or at least talk to you if there is issue.

No training, the people there are not willing to help, and they pay well below the average going rate for what they expect you to do. Management needs to run the company better if they want employees to stick around longer. I was not very happy here and it doesn't seem like the other employees are either.

Working at NBM was a positive experience overall.
My drafting skills skyrocketed, I got to meet fun colleagues and worked with them in several different designs.
I feel like I could have been valued a little bit more with the efforts that I was putting into my work.

At NBM the staff members will lead you through a full project to it's completion teaching you every step along the way, so that someone who has never worked in this field could join the team and have a great understanding in a matter of weeks.

It's an engineering job in designing for hydro and telecommunications projects with a large emphasis on autocad design and using a program called spida for pole calculations
