start at 7am and go to 3:30pm. If extra time was needed for advanced prep work it was always granted. Most of the work instruction was governed  with thought to site specific,this gave a lot of latitude in the choosing site specific material. In being allowed to gather the instruction material I've personally benefited  to the greater degree. If courses such these were given to us as tradesmen,we most likely would have been far better tradesmen.
For me the hardest part of the job was the getting the class students  and management to apply class room and practical work together. That's how safety works. Not independently.

Responsible for the Finsih Department production equipment , spent most of my time working with the plant trades solving machine related issues and/or supporting other area engineers with ther issues. Provided all programming support for the entire line which was outfitted with Seimens Step 5 Controls and some Seimens Step 7. The Department Heads, Techs, and Production employees were a pleasure to work with.

During my tenure with Nemak I held 3 positions and relocated as an expat for one year.  I started out as a student running machines and became a supervisor after completing University.   This role allowed me to use the knowledge I gained as a supervisor to make improvements to the process.  As a lean manufacturing coordinator I was able to implement cost saving initiatives in the departments I supported.

For the most part, I enjoyed working there. The salary was quite good plus there was lots of overtime...eventually, the overtime became too much. Months long stretches without a day off is a good way to burn someone out. But quickly it was too much overtime, to absolutely none at all. No new products in the pipeline and the one they were making, wasn't being bought. Now none of it matters, the plant is closing.

This was a very demanding job, It made me a better manager.
Again List is too massive to put in regards to what I have learned.
Management culture was a pressure situation. 
Excellent employees and co workers.
The work load was one of constant increase due to the economic downturn. 
Most enjoyable part was, How much I learned and the level of intelligence of the individuals I had the pleasure of working with.

Its fun working on the core machines as it gives me an opportunity to see many of my theoretical knowledge at work. I enjoy the trouble shooting, watching and learning from very experienced supervisors and superintendents. The co-workers are great, very helpful to new employees and even though it's a fast paced environment, its fun to be there.

Supervisors lack in basic safety skills, when asked for proper safety equipment was told that’s the way we always do it(not satisfactory)
Supervision very weak and unorganized
Very unsafe place to work, considering supervision does not know proper safety procedures
Would not recommend this place if you value health and safety

A typical starts out waiting for a break down to occur or a project to be
Assigned to you. Most project , you struggle to look for parts , usually 
no planning a head by Managment and the job can be cancelled or pushed back (kind of frustrating). Most supervisor are pleasant and focus 
on production rather than fixing it right or safely.

Hot stressful jobs working on and above furnace. Management was often unorganised and showed favouritism towards certain workers. Often you would start a job as instructed only to find that the material for the job wasn’t in stock. 

Good company to learn manufacturing process but long hours are required without adequate compensation.  Learned a great deal about all business processes and how each area of the business was linked.
