What is the best part of working at the company?
4 day work week. Monday to Thursday 10 hour days. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Safety culture is almost non existent. They are reactive to safety issues instead of being proactive. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Poor work environment. Everything they do is old school and what they call "tribal knowledge". There's almost no direction from management, and no real training at all. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Get to work and just figure out by yourself, what you're going to do that day.

Overmanaged with incompetent people in charge. To much politics between the union, company, and hierarchy of employees. The apprenticeship program is lacking at best with no follow through on training for its apprentices. Loss of connection between floor staff and management, just another cog in the machine so to speak. Only thing that makes the work bearable is the majority of guys on the floor.

This place is a waste of time if you have any skills to be elsewhere. Decent guys on the floor, but nobody wants to be there because of the poor management. They will stand around watching you work while drinking coffee and looking for something youre doing wrong. They never have the parts you need, so you're always trying to track down drawings and parts which are scattered around. The worst part is that it would be a decent place if the management had some people skills and maybe half an idea of whats going on. There are also loud annoying buzzers to tell you when your break is over.  

Constantly improving systems and processes. Opportunity for growth and advancement. Fast paced. Days go by quickly. Big enough to provide a diverse experience and the amenities of a larger company but small enough that you have the ability to move the needle. Fun and friendly group of professionals to work with. Good benefits and flexibility. Stable company that has been in business for decades. Builds very high quality and reliable products. Hardest part of the job in finance might be the tight timeframes for quarter end reporting and annual audit.

This shop is toxic. There are some great fellow employees as anywhere you work, but the leadhands and union stewards are entrenched with management. They will sell you out in heart beat. Sending out unsubstantiated emails to management with zero information. They expect you to be able to do the job that requires plenty of tribal knowledge that they never provide, then write you up for it. Performance management is not in the vocabulary here. Favoritism runs wild in the shop.

This is a great place if you want to get involved and make a difference. Lean manufacturing culture means there are standards to follow, but also means quality is high. Company makes great products that have lots of demand (stable work) and the people really care about the work and the customers that they service. Training is offered, suggestions are valued.

The jobs are repetitive. It’s manufacturing so if you like that then that’s it. But the management is unhelpful, condescending, arrogant, and egotistical. All the blueprints are wrong. No overtime unless your the same two guys that do all the same jobs that are the only interesting thing to do there. 
The company itself is about to relocate to the states so save your time.

Decent pay,4 day work week,mostly a good work force.

Management was out of touch and unapproachable.Very difficult.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Mostly ok,but very toxic at contract time.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start at 5am ,off at 330pm,Mon to thur

It started off ok, busy and interesting and I had a great leadhand who took the time to show me the ropes. Took less than a year and a half for the place to slide into the abyss. Oddly enough, all this coincided with the hiring of a new director of operations.

This place is an unmitigated disaster. Revolving door for warehouse management. Lack of safety training especially for new employees. Lower than average skilled trades remuneration. Toxic work culture in all departments. I could go on and on...
