I actually like the food at noodlebox and I enjoy making the customers feel welcome and have a great food experience. There are however too many bad things about working here. The manager makes working here horrible. He makes you feel as though you know nothing, he does not know how to train people properly and you feel like you are in training even when you’ve been there for months. He doesn’t pay people to train the new people either. When closing you are expected to do too much and then he will get upset if you stayed too late. He will text you all the time even on days off about small issues that could easily be resolved in person. He doesn’t have the proper papers when starting at noodlebox and doesn’t make it clear that there are cameras everywhere. When you have a closing shift there will be no prep done in advance and it gets extremely frustrating since dinner time is the busiest time of the day. There is extra cleaning almost every single day and yet the place still is not clean if you ask health inspector. The manager is more worried about the money than the quality of the food which is a recipe for disaster considering he owns a restaurant. He will also not split the tips evenly at all and you will get wayyy less than you should. There are also no breaks unless you work 8 hours, then you get half an hour. There is nothing you can do to please him, even when you go above and beyond his requests, there is always something. 

Noodlebox was a challenging place to work. There was room for advancement and lots of teamwork was needed to keep the kitchen and line flowing properly. The owner of the franchise had some biases and would also micromanage our kitchen through the cameras. Orders would be modified and there was no trust the higher up you went. 

Seems ownership changed a few times in a short amount of time, head office was structured but the gatekeeping between the company owner and restaurant manager was rampant. The general manager position was eventually made redundant and I chose to leave the company. 

This rates second on my worst jobs ever worked. The work was fun, I enjoyed my responsibilities and I was good at what I did but what I did not approve of or sign up for was a corrupt culture and hard work not being respected. I would not go back. 

As the years go by the head office and owners have become more concerned with cutting corners to save money than taking care of their staff or product quality. The culture of working there can be enjoyable and flexible, but that does not make up for being understaffed, over worked, under paid, no room for advancement, and having policies that do not benefit the customer. It is a typical place where you work for or close to minimum wage, and the owners seemingly don't care about you. I learned that no matter how hard one works, it goes unrecognized and is thankless. The training and communication is lacking, and they should start hiring more people with actual integrity and accountability. Also, they are not as "green" as they advertise, and should go back to their roots because what they have evolved into is not working.

Working at Noodlebox is a genuinely rewarding experience, defined by a vibrant atmosphere and a wonderful sense of community. The role offers a fantastic balance of responsibilities; you get the best of both worlds by mastering the craft of fresh prep and line cooking while also enjoying friendly interactions with guests at the register.
The true highlight of this job is the team. It is a supportive, tight-knit group where everyone pitches in, making the kitchen feel like a collaborative and positive place to grow. You truly feel like a valued part of the "crew" from day one.
While the schedule tends to offer more modest hours, it is the perfect fit for someone seeking a flexible part-time role that prioritizes quality over quantity. If you value a kind work environment and a diverse range of daily tasks, Noodlebox is a lovely place to land.

While working at my local store I had a lot of fun. The staff were like family to me and the customers were a joy to work with. Any time we needed advice or help from upper management it was met in a timely matter. The team was absolutely stunning and we worked well together. Unfortunately the location traded hands, and many of the staff did not apply for rehire. I can’t speak on the store now as I haven’t stayed on. I can say that it’s not the same and the new manager is trying their hardest to get the store back to how it was.

Noodlebox is a great place to work! Management cares about their employees and are very supportive.  There's an overall chill vibe and I had a lot of fun with my co-workers. It can be a bit stressful when it's busy but nothing unmanageable. I was working a second job while working here and management was very accomodating which I appreciated.  I definitely recommend working here!

Obviously closing at night time when you're totally tired.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Enjoyable, fun and productive, learning new things each day

Sometimes it was fast paced. However for the most part it was slow after 6:00. Management was great.
Training was great.
I worked FOH and was decently secure in my job with a guaranteed raise in 3 months.
I was let go due to restrictions with fryers due to age. 
Pay was good, discounts were good etc. 
If your looking for a part time job it’s a great option.

The manger spoke to me 3 times in my almost 2 months of working there and fired me because “I wasn’t clicking with my coworkers and I seemed stressed.” The one good thing about working here was the free food each shift. But then again you have to deal with the public and all their stupid requests well the manger is no where to be seen.

Fun, entertaining, and fast-pace place to work! Loved working Front-of-House and interacting with customers, taking orders, preparing appetizers, etc. Although, owners of this particular location weren't as involved as they should have been. Great times, but NOT long-term and poor/min. wage pay.
