-Hired as a lead tech (10+ years experience), made me feel like I had never been in the industry before. No trust between management and newly hired technicians.

-Inconsistent hours. You are either expected to work 15 hours a day 7 days a week or you get cut hours. Don't wanna work weekends? Don't expect any work the next week. Require a day off? Expect hours to be cut.

-No health benefits. No RRSP contribution.

-More concerned with making the sale rather than fostering a good relationship with the existing or new customer. (Taken from other review, couldn't have said it better myself).

-Competitive wage; paid on-time without problems.

-Truck and gas card were given as discussed during interview.

-Promised certain things during interview like company cell-phone and I-Pad for service; was never given these. Was also promised full company uniform; was only given a hat and a shirt, then asked why you don't wear the company jacket (really?).

-Discussions of future advancement and apprenticeships; was briefly discussed during the interview...Honestly wouldn't expect it.

-Owner expects you to pay for materials and parking out of your own pocket, then pay you back at a later date...Uhm what?
 
Overall, don't expect a long career here, it's a job, it pays the bills for a short while. Hire and fire company.

-The scope of work is relevant to the industry.  Experience is always good to gain whether it’s good or bad.  
-Decent but limited exposure to the industry, due to being a primarily residential Hvac company.   Again, experience is always good to gain.  
-Hired on with promises of busy work weeks, Sadly never had a 40 hour week.  Hours only dwindled from there.  
-Inconsistent hours during work weeks.  Some techs were getting 30+ hours a week simultaneously while others seeing less than 15 hours a week. 
-No group benefits at all. OHIP is what novelcare considered to be health benefits, at the time I was employed there.  
-More concerned with making the sale rather than fostering a good relationship with the existing or new customer.
-wage was below industry average. 
-Bottom line.  Novelcare failed to live up to the promises made during the interview. I would not recommend this company as a good place to work.

Novelcare is a was a great company to work for. A typical day for a service tech is performing residential & Commercial HVAC maintenance as well as diagnostic and repair calls. You are supplied with a vehicle and advanced tools such as a combustion analyzer and electronic refrigerant leak detector. 
The current managers and supervisors are all exceptional at what they do despite being busy almost all the time.
You will need to spend some of your spare time reading and learning more of the technical side and gas code but there are some very knowledgeable technicians that are willing to help and mentor.
Having the freedom to do the right thing for the customer is what kept me working here for over 20 years.

This job is for someone who really likes to help people, in a dynamic and fast pace environment, The most enjoyable part of the job is receiving feedback from customer, pleased with the services and products we provide. Above average pay and great opportunity to diversify, due to the vast options of products and services available. Management tuned and sensitive to work-life balance! Great and collaborative culture with some health competition to keeps us on our toes. 

I've been in the HVAC business, on the sales side, for 11 years and every single company I've worked for in the past has promised the moon and have given rocks. I had lost a lot of my passion for this business recently up until I met with Novelcare. Since I've started management has offered me an opportunity to grow and learn, all he asks for in return is hard work and honesty. I will say that I look forward to every day with new challenges.

hardest part of the job was learning two different accounting systems in an 8 month period
most enjoyable part was taking on new tasks and learning more challenging duties

They hired me and 2.5 days in they said I wasn't a good fit for the company. I left behind and amazing large company to join them and they dismissed me in 2 days. Owners don't provide proper training and were still expecting me to pick up everything in 2 days. Don't leave a good job to join here. It won't be worth it. 

Its an interesting company,. not one day is the same. You meet new people, encounter new problems to solve. There are  different lateral opportunity  you can change into . There are also many experiences you can take part in to help you grow in the company and in your personal life. I definitely recommend working for Novel care.

Great team of supportive colleagues that help and guide you. They treat their employees and clients with respect - want long term relationships. Workplace Options' mission statement is "We Help" and they really do...from their employees, to their clients and even help those who are not their clients. They endeavor to do what is morally right.
