NTL Pipelines

a typical day at work was it was slow everywhere when i got hired on by a friend of the family that was my boss. but when i started i was only able to help finish a few pipelines and the rest was breakup and yard work and cleaning up and fixing everything that was broken from winter months. after everything was done and fixed and no more jobs where starting within the company, i was forced to haveto look somewhere els for work. but in general it was a great atmosphere to work around and i had respect as a individual who was trying hard to gain more work the whole time i was their.

The work was consistent while most companies were unable to secure contracts. Rates were extremely low with little incentive to go the extra mile. My problem arouse when required emergency surgery. I notified my supervisor immediately after i was unable to continue to work for a short period of time and was dismissed soon after a little disappointing considering I was encouraged to finish an important portion of the project before returning to the doctor after becoming ill initially. Bottom line in my opinion  employment here is a good filler but may not be the best if there are other options

Awesome company and Awesome group of guys and all experience in their trade would love to go back and work for them

Normal stress.but enjoyed every minute of it to be honest I found it challenging

I really liked the job and likes the work and was looking forward to going back but with job contracts hiring local people and not paying living allowance, it wasn’t worth going back to work. I had to turn down 4 different foreman’s offer to go back. Really hard to turn down work when I’m not working

This company offers no room for advancement, as well only uses staff for immediate needs, once the project is complete - they lay you off instantly.
Management only cares about bottom line - is basically clueless about the status of the project.
Last project had an issue with production, so they reacted by replacing the admin.  Rather than replace the people directly responsible for production.

good company until they closed the doors without letting their core guys know through their management and office. while the company was in business i was very thankful for the years they kept me employed and was able to support my family.

Pay based on experience.  Work hard and they keep you busy.  Foremen look out for their crews. No shortcuts taken.  Always quality clean crew trucks.  Good with pairing people together that compliment each others skills.

Ntl has a great safety culture fun loving bunch always feel right at home working for them and there teams. Being a part of great charity work in and surrounding there community. Hiring locals from all around and really puting together some good clean energy production lines for years to come i hope.

Dont care at all about workers managers are terrible work family balance was horrible  taking days off to see family usually meant loss of seat 6-1 schedule only was good for local hires  now they took our loa and dropped wage and truck allowance brutal

I would work for them again anytime, I enjoyed working there a lot

I had a company welding rig to use and take home with a fuel card. They where relaxed and easy to communicate with. Management was open minded and let you do your work with out always looking over your should.
