Tree Planting at NATA was an great experience. Both the community and the food were amazing! There is some partying but it is definitely more lo-key than other places. You can make a stupid amount of money with the right work ethic (and the right Crew boss).
 My biggest concern with this company was the way they made bids on land. They would often bid on land without even seeing it, and we had many days where we had fill plants where it was already full of trees or just grossly underpaid for how un-plantable some of the land was. We also had many days off do to poor organizational skills from management.
 All of these issues could very well be better by now, and without them I'd give 5/5 stars. If you want to know what tree planting looks like: go on you tube (and yes, it is as difficult as well as fulfilling as everyone says.)

I belive nata is a decent company but its not the top of the list. You'll always find good people while tree planting and I honestly enjoyed everyone's company while working there. Make sure your physically ready as the company usually doesn't receive the best land as far as rookie mills go (overgrown by 2 years, slopey, you name it). Which can dampen your money making abilities some days, I stuck out the season. They have trouble keeping kitchen staff. For non Christians the atmosphere there is respectful, nobody will try to convert you and everyone is cool cuz your all working this job. If your skittish about party culture then go here! You'll be able to rest well enough if you need. Otherwise they're okay, but other places may be better. 

Nata is a good company for rookies, but they under pay and would often be dishonest about how much we were getting per tree. Camp costs were a rip off at the legal max of 25$ a day on work days, we're talking paying 25$ a day to have 2 meals and a shower twice a week. Showers were only ever on in the evenings for 3 hours only on work days. The upper management was very inconsiderate towards their hires, you cant expect much from tree planting companies along the lines of employee treatment, but they were a little excessive with the under consideration.

Nata was a perfect place coming as a rookie. The community there is strong and you feel cared for as an individual, not just a cog in the company. It is a fairly christian atmosphere so you avoid the party scene. I found the foremen easy to get along with and they push you to do your best. The food was sometimes sub par in serving sizes and the lunches could be better but the baking and desserts are always quality. I lived for the baking.

Great company to work for when starting out. Run by 2 brothers who are very nice guys and quite hard working. Breakfast at 6 am, load the trucks with trees after, drive out to the block (piece of land) and start your day planting. Go back to camp for dinner at 6 pm then do whatever you want till you go to sleep and start over the next day. You meet all types of people, make some really great friends and always have crazy stories to tell. Only downside to the company is that it seems to only get mediocre blocks in terms of land difficultly to price per tree.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
underlying religious tone is hard to ignore,  very frugal owners

Wake up quite early, for a long day of planting. Have the opportunity to work on days off, stay latter at times. The food is okay, and those with allergies or food sensitivities are left out a little. 

Great culture, management and support from foremen.

Wandering through the forest inch by inch double over in physical exhaustion batting off flies and dodging wolves, moose, and bears isn’t for everyone, but if you consider this job at any point, you probably have an idea of what you are getting into. It is worth the experience.

This is a job where the harder you work the more money you make. You can work by yourself or in a small group. Essentially you need to plant as many trees as you can in 10 hour days but you need to plant them properly. If your quality is poor you have to redo your work for no pay

I have tree planted at Nata for 2 years. It is run by two brothers. Over half of the camp is rookies usually. If you want to become a crew boss quickly, nata is great. very often 2rd year planters will be offered a crew boss position for their next season.
