Aisles: designated by section and phonetic alphabet. 
Carton: Pallets (wood&plastic) {most orders are created two pallets at a time so they would be defined as alpha and bravo
Sections: Golf=Grocery   Mike= Meat etc...
Alpha=1 Bravo=2 Charlie=3 etc...
Bays: The aisle are separated into bays, two item slots per bay, each bay has a corresponding Number+Check Digit

Vocollet Talkman: Talkman is a voice recognition unit created to direct workers in a warehouse setting for optimized workflow, efficiency. A dialogue is much easier to understand so I will run through a short order to demonstrate.

routine:
clock in, receive a Vocollet Talkman unit and headset, log into your designated profile, enter your department, machine#, and be ready for work. make sure you have a roll of wrap for the end of the order.

Congratulations you successfully lifted over 1000 pound in the allotted time of 34 minutes if done faster than that you get incentive bonuses. Anything lower than 85% is means for suspension. the minimum requirement is 92.5% every 1% above 95% equals to 4 minutes extra added on to your pay at the end of the week. however I have only met one person there who can hit 110% consecutively. it is rather difficult not to exhaust yourself simply to add a few minutes on a pay of 14.50$ X40hrs - Deductions = 465$
a daily average of 110% adds roughly 20-25$ to your pay.
Supervisors  are indifferent so long as production stays on track

advancements are unlikely because it works through seniority. so unless a full timer retires, quits, gets suspended or seriously injured you will not be promoted to full-time a guaranteed 40hrs a week or most benefits, eg; blue cross life insurance, Pc insurance

I have learned the phonetic alphabet while working here.
physical work can be enjoyable, however, some days you will be exhausted at the end of your shift. there is little interaction with coworkers as you must make standards in order to keep your job 92.5%.

A typical day at work is receiving shipment and working it to the shelves. It is also important to bring down old stock from above the shelves before putting new stock on the shelves to ensure that stock doesn't expire. Another part of the job was assisting customers with everything from special orders, helping them find what they need or get out of reach products from overstock or the storage freezer. This was one of my favorite parts of the job because working with customers and helping them out in any way possible is important to me. I am committed to upholding the recognition that Nation Grocers Owen Sound has received for being great in the area of customer service. My team of colleagues at National Grocers was amazing. I was very impressed with how committed they are to upholding their reputation for outstanding customer service. I have never experienced customer service like that my team provides at any other grocery store I have been to ever.

A typical day at work is pretty routine but every day is a learning experience with new customer and different complains making sure that I address each and everyone . It always put a smile on my face when I can manage to turn a unhappy customers into a happy one by the time they leave.Management well after having a manager for 15 years years who just retired and getting a new one is a big adjustment there has been some bumps along the way but we manage to smooth the way which is all good. My co-workers are all great but just like all families we have our ups and down but manage to kiss and make up at the end of the day, I love them with all my heart. I think the hardest part of the day is trying to please everyone and the most enjoyable part of the day when customers and co-workers leave with a smile on their face I know I've done my job right.

Typical day at work would be different on certain days. Some days I would pick orders using a pallet jack. Other I would operate a low-lift truck replenish racking and pick slots. And also I would at times be a loader, where I would take the pickers loads, ensure they were properly wrapped, stacked, then proceed to put in the trailer. I worked the 3pm to 11pm, Sunday to Thursday shift.

The supervisors were very pleasant to work with, as I got along with them all. Higher management on the other hand would put too much pressure on them and us, that at times would make it too stressful. Some of the expected deadlines were too much.

I can't say enough good things about the co-workers. We all worked well together. always helped each other out.

Hardest part of the job were the deadlines and the expectations at times.

The most enjoyable part of the job was the staff. We had a good group of people.

Order-picking, packing and shipping fresh and frozen product to various external organizations, e.i. Loblaws, No frills, Superstore.   Self-motivation, time appreciation, warehouse cleanliness are skills that can be picked up here.  The management is competent and adhere to the codes and principals set out by the company.  Your co-workers are the backbone of any work environment and make the job fun.  The hardest part is keeping your time up on order-picking on abnormally large orders that are quite frequent.  You must also have a strong back due to the repetition of the job.  The most enjoyable part of the job is the amount of overtime that is given. A good starting job for young people.

Training and working with all staff in the store, working with ordering and controls, I have learned to listen to the staff and work with them on advancement and sharing their ideas to better working conditions, the hardest part of my Jobs was having to satisfy every employee. the best part of the job is knowing that I was the one that motivated people and gave them the opportunity to want to come to work not have to come to work

I really enjoyed working at National Grocers. The staff is closely entwined and friendly. Super busy- which I loved, because no matter what you were always working. I love working as a cashier here. Packing groceries, and packing large cigarette orders for customers'.

As a security officer with National Grocers I was able to work around school as I was fulltime at Cegep and later at University. The hardest part of the job was overnight shifts and healthy lifestyle. I had the opportunity to meet more individuals and became close acquaintances with them.

unsafe and dangerous work place abusing and harassing their employees, there is not much more i would like to say except not to work for this company or support their exploitation of workers by buying their products.

Supervisors need to be trained on how to talk to people . Time given to complete order need to be remove it cause a lot of damage to product and it's gonna cause some serious accident because of the way worker moving to keep up with the time given to complete said order
