A typical day at work would be opening the store, receiving stock, tidying the shelves, and above all; customer service. Naturalizer is very sales driven, which I always love in retail because it keeps everyone motivated.

I learned a lot about different types of footwear; mainly what is good for your feet and what is bad. I learned different sales skills than I'd had before, because I'd never worked with a customer base that was older than roughly 25, but it taught me a lot. And I love their products now.

The management there was great for the most part. I can say that they need to relieve some of the stress on their managers because I worked in 3 different stores with 2 different managers and stress was thick in the air sometimes. And I worked there for the better part of 2 years and was just taken off the schedule without any real reason. I had called in sick previously for a single shift (I swear it's not an under-exaggeration) and I had a doctors note from being in the hospital for dehydration after I had had the flu. So I guess that's the main reason I wouldn't work there again, no job security.

Co-workers were great. Never really had anyone I didn't get along with, loved the staff.

Hardest part of the job is doing the running for shoes. The back rooms are usually small and highly stacked, so you're climbing ladders all day. But it keeps you fit!

Best part of the job was the customers. I loved helping them because I feel that the middle aged customer base is much more appreciative of good customer service than the younger generation. I had fun helping them and I miss it a lot.

I worked for Naturalizer for 7.5 years and the first 4.5 i had no problems. However, that changed when the Chinook location was moved to another part of the mall and we were expected to work overtime more than one day to complete this, guilt tripped when we did not want to/were exhausted. The new store, which was confirmed later by the DSM, was the wrong location and was way too small for all the stock. Therefore we had to agonize over organizing and transferring alll the stock back and forth from a temporary storage room to the store. Also, us as staff needed to contact payroll several times to get paid accurately for the hours (and overtime) we worked. After that the job responsibilities were increased with no raise and management was dreadful . Also, the shoes are getting crappier and crappier in quality and became harder to sell. There was a lot more problems within this company that i don’t even have space to get into to. I used to enjoy working at this company but I eventually saw they were just the same greedy place as anywhere else that doesn’t care about its employees.agonize over transferring stock back and forth from a temporary storage room for weeks afterwards and everything was a mess.

working at Naturalizer's was a very fun experience. i learned a lot of different ways to approach situations having dealt with some while working there. the staff was amazing and very welcoming. the management was very understanding when i told them i needed to leave because i was moving out of province. work was slow some days and on those days i would go through the store and see what needed cleaning or stock. the most enjoyable part about working at Naturalizer's was greeting new people as they walked into the store and helped them find the right shoe or handbag for them. the hardest part of the day was when closing came and customers were still shopping. we were always very patient for those customers to finish what they were getting, but it could also be very stressful at times.

A typical work day usually consist of many different factors.  I can receive and verify incoming and outgoing stock orders.  Selling shoes to walk in customers.  Dealing with customer concerns and returns.   I can work by myself or I can be flexible and work as a team member with my associates.  My relationship with management is professional and friendly without crossing boundaries.  The hardest part of the job is when an unsatisfied customer walks into the store,  ensuring that that customer walks out of the store satisfied.  The most enjoyable part of the job is the constant interaction with customers and co-workers alike.   I find that no two days are alike,  I push myself to try to learn something new every shift.

I work with a great team of coworkers and managers. I get to work in two other locations and they are a great team as well. 

I typical day at work would be to try to get as much new Eclub members to sign up for our coupons memberships and sell our other products other than shoes. My coworkers and I have fun trying to out beat each other, even though we don't work on commission. This is the most enjoyable part of the job.

The hardest part is standing on my feet for too long when it is not busy and there is not much to do.

Come in opened Store, get display ready if not! Deal with customers as they come in. Not every customer deals with you as you expected. Boss was an awesome gentleman, always ready to help you learned. Overall, Co-workers were difficult at times but in general easy to be trained and dealt with. When Employees will not showed up for their shift and will not bothered to even call.  When we had a difficult customer, demanding, and at the end will leave the store not as she had come in.  In another words, the customer will leave happy!!!!

This work place is a great place to work in, the people are all helpful and we have a lot of team work. I have learned new things from different people, different life styles and different techniques. My manger I have worked for before and she is a great person, works around what you need off. The hardest part of the job is to please you customers requirements. The most enjoyable thing about the job is working with the public and getting to meet people from different places.

I worked as an assistant manager at Naturalizer and I loved every minute of it. It was a very customer service based shoe store where you were hands on with every customer, ensuring they have the best experience possible every time. The pay was good as there was bonuses weekly for the top sales rep, which made for friendly and fun competition. The management was amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better manager. The only reason I left was to move out of province and expand my horizons.

Working in this company really helps me to improve my skills especially in retails and communicating to people. I enjoyed working here even I still have my night job at the hotel. It feels good when we attain our weekly, monthly and annual budget even we don't have a commission, but still it much enjoyable. Talking to all kinds/levels of customers, from kids to old mothers.

Each day was different.  It has given me confidence and has helped me improve my skills.  The hardest part of the job was no guaranteed hours.  The employees are fantastic to work with and the most enjoyable part of the job is when a customer comes in unhappy and says you are unable to help them but then you turn that negative in a great positive.  I love seeing my regular customers.
