A typical day at work would be the normal daily routine, cleaning the insides of numerous planes that vary from different sizes. One major thing that I have learned from working with Navstar, is that team work and communication is very key and important. The only way to get the job done is through team work and communication. As for the management it is okay, but honestly speaking very disorganized. what i mean by disorganized, is that some days the lead/supervisor would just be all the over the place not knowing what time and gate a plane has arrived at, causing not only me but my co-workers to not be productive waiting for periods of time until we get confirmation on what to do next and where to go. I believe the airport is very professional but the company I am present at right now lacks in that criteria. As for my co-workers a few I work with are great with communication trying to get the task done but for the others I work with majority of them are very unprofessional and do not know how to properly speak with one another causing chaos and disruption. Which then results into effecting everyone in the workplace environment. There is nothing hard about the job at all its great to be able to give the passengers a clean plane to travel in, its just the people I work with make it hard sometimes because they are not as passionate as I am when it comes to getting a task done and being professional. As for the most enjoyable part of the the job is basically getting to meet new people each day and learning a lot of new things about each individual plane I work on.

So I recently interviews and was offered a job as a CSA with Navstar. I was excited and happy to be joining at such a great time as they are a company increasing the companies they are contracted to quickly. After the offer I was told that I would be given details about the job, to which I had to keep asking for. And I was being patient. It was the evening before I was to start training that I was actually told where to go for it via picture text message. I was not told about pay or asked to fill out any forms. 

Training was an actual delight. I appreciate who was training us and made it fun and entertaining. Once training was over had to visit the Navstar office to which I was snapped at about asking for a form for airport clearance. Twice. It seemed people were tripping over themselves trying to get things done. 

After leaving for the Pass Office I returned back to the Navstar office to find that the person in charge of the passes had gone home. And the lone person in the office doing 5 things at once offered some time up to help. 

I text messaged the original person who told me about the training in picture text message what my options now were with not having a pass. And haven't heard a thing. 

Bright future. But way too disorganized - for someone new to the airport community, be super patient! Very easy to slip through the cracks, but I guess at $11.25 keeping employees is not necessarily easy.

I start my shift at 8pm and finish at 8am the next morning. I organize the night's flights according to arrival times and staff on duty. I prepare all paperwork required, i.e. Security Seals and documents, Evaluation reports, Daily Flight Information (an excel document listing flights and times for the night). I drive the staff to their flights and document the start and finish times ensuring they are completed within the alotted time frame. I check all completed aircraft cabins to make sure they were cleaned properly according to the Airline's requirements. We must ensure that all aircraft are cleaned prior to crew boarding for the morning departures. This is challenging at times when there are many flights and not enough staff however the night staff that I work with are very hard working and dedicated to doing a good job in a timely manner. We work as a team which is the nicest part of working at NavStar.

Under payed labour. I learned how to clean aircraft's inside and out. I also learned the different names/types of aircraft's that came in and out of the airplane hangar. Any co-worker would agree that the management was incompetent. We had more trust and better relationships with our supervisors. I worked with a lot of friendly people which made the experience better. The hardest part of the job was the constant scrubbing of dirt and standing/crouching for long periods of time on a regular basis. The most enjoyable part of this job was working with the same team everyday. We built a bond that made the work as enjoyable as it could be.

Dealing with people they're there just for the pay not because they care for what they doin

Mixed  culture  witc was a bit hard because language etcetera 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There's not such day I just did the exterior polishing and that it

very fast paced environment consisting of vacuuming and cleaning various sections of the aircraft. Management directs us on what needs to be done and where and we are transported to respective areas to complete our jobs. The job is enjoyable and not super labor intensive even though there are element of this work that required huge exertion of energy. I enjoy working on the ramps and being able to see the airplanes close up and personal.

It's a great job, great experience. Management on the other hand is never on the same page, because you get managers telling you on thing from Navstar Avi, and managers from actual airline telling you the other thing. A lot of work under pressure, takes over your life, but you dont get paid enough for it. Luckily everyone is friendly and get you through the day no matter what happens.

Assist passengers two and from point A to point B in terminals according to their flights.
coordinated with family members on well being of relative that is traveling (or about their flight)
Helped with luggage and re booking of flights.
Helped with flight delays and cancellations

In general, the work was not bad, but their management team wast the worst I`ve ever come across omg. On the interview they will tell you one thing and when you do get hired then they tell you a different thing leaving one confuse.

Not enough hours.
I leaned to drive in the airport 
I like the fact that it was multicultural 
The hardest part of the job was when there was delayed flights.
the most enjoyably part of the job was having positive co-workers and management.
