Honestly save your time, it's a terrible place to work. The only good thing about this company is the clients and your coworkers. The majority of the office staff is rude and unprofessional. Half the time you are short staffed & when you need to call in, they don't allow you to. You are underpaid and overworked. Hours are never guaranteed and shifts can be changed or cancelled last minute without notice. No one is trained for the work you are required to do. If they don't like you they will mark you as unavailable and not give you any shift offers rather than having the decency to fire you. I would highly recommend NOT working here.

I applied for a caregiver job with this company 6 months ago. I started working with seniors and really enjoyed the variety of having many different clients. I was able to work with consistent clients and develop a relationship with them that is very fulfilling. I am able to accept shifts that are offered on the company app that was easy to use and offered a variety of new shifts as new clients asked for service. The schedulers are very helpful with changing shifts if needed and the manager offers support and additional training to us. I was able to take the CPR/First Aid training at the office and the many other courses on line once I was hired. You can work as many hours as you want and the company culture has a very positive working environment.

As a Scheduling Coordinator I was given in depth training by my manager which has set me up for success for my position. My goal is to provide clear communications to clients and staff while ensuring to always be kind, respectful and welcoming! Which has given me the opportunity to create lasting professional relationships with all clients and staff that I have had the pleasure of interacting with. 

This company has given me the opportunity to learn and grow and add to my professional experiences which has lead to a very rewarding career path.  

I worked part time for Neighbourhood Home Care during my 2nd, 3rd & 4th year of nursing schooling. It was a very good experience as I cared for a variety of seniors in their own home. I was able to assist them with their daily routines and medications reminders. I also helped with personal care and took them to doctors appointments. It was very fulfilling and enjoyable. I met so many different people and enjoyed getting you know them. The manager was very nice and supportive. This was a great company to work for and I was able to put into practice all the skills I was learning in nursing. 


It makes me happy to go into work see what I have missed. During shift there's a sense of structure, we do everything we can for next shift-so it is very busy. I love a busy job, and this one is perfect because it motivates me directly from my passion towards the children. It is perfect for workers who thrive to make a difference in children's lives, with a great sense of energy.

This company will always have a special place in my heart. I have absolutely loved this job. It provides vast opportunities and many optional placements. The management has been so accommodating, understanding and uplifting. If you are looking for a job that enriches your life, this is it. I truly have nothing but positive things to say about this lovely company and have felt lucky to work for such compassionate people to help others reach their greatest potential.😊

You are paid PENNIES to perform potentially dangerous tasks. Management is terrible and clique-y. There is a reason for such a high turn over rate! Scheduling is extremely condescending. You are hardly trained.  **23 has the worst management, you will absolutely be talked about and berated. Nothing will ever be done about it, many caregivers have put in the same complaint but nothing ever changes. The only plus side to this company is that you are able to choose your hours.

NHC has been a great place to be! I only joined the team 3 months ago but it has been fantastic!! The teams in the homes are all truly amazing care givers, the kiddos are so lucky! I love being able to go into the home and see how care givers and residents have made it “home” for each kiddo. The management team is so great! Very easy to approach with any and all questions, and always so helpful to all employees. I would recommend NHC to anyone who also needs senior care - our care givers are the best there is! 

All in all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ !!!

I've worked for this company for 3 years as student and its been a great learning experience for me. Working with clients from all backgrounds and age groups has really expanded my skillset for future opportunities. Training and refresher courses are offered through the company which gives myself and other staff a lot of confidence.

If you want a job where you are seen as an object to the company, want 0 support, have minimal training, be under paid for the work you're doing, and be expected to be perfect and give your life to the company, then this is the place for you! Management is the reason for this company being the way it is. It was embarrassing saying I worked here as it has such a bad reputation but they hire nearly anyone and a job is a job when you need it. It's not worth it, go work somewhere else.
