I couldn't be more pleased with my experience from start to finish of the interview process at NewLook.
From the moment I began the interview process, it was clear this company values its employees and candidates
alike. The interviewers went above and beyond to accommodate me in both French & English, ensuring I had everything I needed to succeed. They asked thoughtful, relevant questions that gave me an opportunity to showcase my skills and passion for the role.
What stood out most to me was the genuine effort to make me feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. It wasn't just about assessing my abilities— it was about making sure I felt confident and at ease.
This is a company that truly listens and takes a professional, compassionate approach to their recruitment process. I'm excited to continue my journey here and look forward to contributing to such an amazing team.

The employees and managers are nice, but the higher ups are terrible at their jobs, they will never try to keep you no matter how long you've worked there, they always add work to stress everyone out, they scam people regularly, they oblige us to reach unrealistic goals and do unnecessary work, i hated working there. Also hire incompetent managers, instead of people already qualified and inside the company.

My time at New look was special because before I knew it I have already spent so much time working for this company and working Saturdays were fairly easy. The schedule was flexible enough for me to go to school and not be overwhelmed by my job and my managers where very understanding. The only downside was really having a salary that was so close to the minimum while I had much things to cover with it.

The sales associates are great to work with. Even the assistant manager and the Optometrist are excellent at what they do. However, the top team leaders (manager and district manager) rely on micromanaging leadership technique. No new ideas are appreciated there. Also, it is not a very happy place to work.

The work environment was very pleasant, the management and fellow employees were very nice and productive in work situations. The environment was productive in dealing with difficult situations and the overall atmosphere of the job was very nice.
The only downside to the job was long hours and learning how to deal with certain situations

overload of work, clients are treated like numbers and selling becomes a daily routine with a mixture of nonesense and pride. inappropriate sales are required, without thinking if the client really need this or that type of product, as long as it is sold at an expensive price

Honestly its a great place to work, I really enjoy waking up everyday to go work there. But there is zero communication with the head office in Quebec, so they dont know us, they think its ok to pay close to minimum salaries, they dont see how hard working we are.

A good job for a student who was balancing work, and school. Time does go by. You learn a lot through day to day experiences. Stress is something that you must learn to acquire. Must be social in order to interact with patients.

While in this role I had the pleasure of dealing with patients and performing the initial medical tests using specialized equipment and machines prior to them seeing the doctor. It was very educational and rewarding.

Five years with this company, which has its ups and downs like any. Managers and corporate are responsive and reliable. Co-workers are great and  the work is usually engaging.
