Typical work day is get into broken work truck that usually has no heat and they don’t care about it, get to site with little to no instruction from foreman. Pushed to work in the cold no matter how cold and not allowed to warm up. Equipment is garbage and is always broken, never gets fixed properly. Unrealistic expectations with broken equipment and they take no responsibility for anything. Almost all foreman and supervisors are trash at their jobs and lazy. Little to no direction, and a lack of communication is an understatement. By far the worst management I have ever seen in a company, anger management issues and simply do not know how to talk to their employees or respect any of them. There selling feature to work there is “we expect a lot cuz we give a lot” is the biggest lie and so far from the truth, they do expect a lot tho. I wouldn’t suggest working here unless you want to see how a company shouldn’t be run and if you wanted to be taken advantage of. 

First off they loophole you out of overtime by giving you 2 hours of travel pay every day when you rarely travel 2 hours it’s totally legal just scummy. People are constantly sent to site without plans or proper equipment. The vehicle they put me in had the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree (engine light, abs light and battery light) the rear passenger door was missing a handle and didn’t open from either side, windows barely worked, heat kicked on and off (was our warm up spot in winter so that was nice) and the outside was just generally bashed up. They don’t care about safety and the culture is hampered by management who will literally laugh off your requests. Overall very bad experience. 

A typical day at NLU was started with two hours of sitting waiting for the dispatch to arrive and then another hour or so to figure out a plan for the truck. Most days I would have to find something to do myself. No leadership or planning when it came to the truck. The manager that was put in charge of the truck was from the world of fashion and had no idea of how to manage construction projects let alone a truck and trailer. Upper management was not helpful nor had any positive impact on the business. Overall it was the worst place I ever worked at. Moral was nonexistent and no one was happy in their job.

- Typical day. Getting in work trucks with crew. Heading to site. Going over tasks for the day. Getting to work with crew and getting a he job done. 
- you can almost always expect to learn something new everyday. Crews often give feed back on approaching new tasks 
- management is well understanding. Young environment and all are open to new ideas and learning. 
-work place is an all around great place. Everyone gets along. 
- hardest part of the job. SHOW UP TO WORK! 
- enjoyable part of the job. Job completion ahead of schedule. Often crews are rewarded. 

Terrible place to work... you are over worked and under paid. Management doesn't care about your safety and just want the job done as fast as possible. Time off request forms to fill out but they always get "lost" or they laugh and say sorry you take take that day or days. Overtime they make mandatory or make you feel so guilty and nobody ever knows whats going on. It's a revolving door and most of their trucks are unsafe and should not be on the road... do NOT work here, it's really a joke and there is no life / work balance...

I have been working as a Hydrovac Operator with this company, and I truly appreciate the strong safety culture and team-oriented environment here. Management consistently emphasizes communication, accountability, and doing the job right the first time.

I have worked here for three months now, and I can say that it is an excellent place to gain experience and learn. The managers trust your talent and dedication. It is a flexible work environment and with the rapid growth of the company there are many opportunities to build a career.  Management is supportive of ideas and employees are allowed to make suggestions for improvement. Constructive criticism and options for improvement are always offered.

I had been employed with no limits underground for roughly 2 years. I had started off as a laborer with no experience in the industry, I was given a lot of opportunity to learn new things on a daily basis. The management is young and from my understanding so is the company itself. Management seems to be making an effort to keep up with their growth, there is some improvements to be made, but from the time i was there they had grown from 15-20 employees and were now 60. 

Good place but like every company there’s it’s up and downs but good places to work good guys to work with also if u need anything just make a note about it and you get what ever it is you need as for tools and parts and the truck gets fixed as soon as you make note about it not but I can say as I’m an operator for them and they treat me good 

Good luck getting paid their top wages, and if you get a raise beyond their minimums, don’t be surprised if you are forbidden from ever telling anyone. Safety program seems like it was only for show. Super disorganized. My advice is use the gong show and high turn over to try to get some experience, and then get the hec out.
