The owners of this company don't care about their employees, their customers, or the cleanliness of their stores. They are rude and entitled and have zero appreciation for the work that other's put in.  Their actions constantly cause frustrations for staff members.  Stores are put on long buying freezes which prevents managers from getting the merchandise they need.  Employees are told to sign out for breaks even though that's illegal.  Managers are not alerted to major decisions such as store closure, or covid protocols.  They also have a habit of yelling, to each other, to employees and even occasionally to customers.  

The actual job is mostly okay.  Counting cash.  Putting away stock.  There's a routine and a rhythm to it which can be pleasant.  But it is not worth it.  Being in close contact with these people is stressful and damaging.  Nobody needs this.

The co-workers I had were great and were the only reason I stayed for this long. But the managers in each department are clueless and unfair to other staff members. Most of the customers that we get are either rude or creepy. Ever since the current owner took over a few years back, things have gone way down hill. The owner is a cheapskate and has no business knowledge whatsoever. He has cut shifts without notice and will remind you that he is constantly watching surveillance cameras to ensure that staff members do not socialize with one another. All of his stores have a shoplifting problem and none of the staff members are paid or respected enough to care.

The family that owns and “manages” the business are abusive, entitled, and clueless. This place should be shut down because there is no health & safety committee, we were consistently short staffed, there is no HR or anything in place to safely or anonymously make suggestions or to report abuse, and the entire store is so disorganized and dirty. The upper management (owners) have absolutely zero regard for their staffs health and well-being, which is ironic since it’s a health food store. The family cares only about money and they do an awful job of handling that as well.

Noah's has all the negatives of small, family-run businesses with none of the good bits.  The family itself are awful people -- either angry, aggressive, and micromanaging (the older generation) or lazy, self-involved, entitled children who barely come to work (the younger).  Long-term staff are periodically let go for no reason, and the whole operation is a mess -- disorganized in every way with regular calls from collectors trying to track down payments for unpaid vendor invoices.  

The job itself is easy -- your basic retail -- but ultimately not worth the toxic environment.

Noah's embodies the idea of a small business. Quaint, friendly and quick advancement. Always loved coming into work every day. Great management. If you worked for Noah's for 7 months or more usually you would be promoted to manager if you had said assets.

Occasional rushes but over all not too busy. Relaxed environment and fun to work. A few specialty item to get familiar with. No big differences between day to day operations.

it's easy to work but the owner and general manager are not very nice. Felt welcomed by other people. Customers are also not kind. other than that nice place to work

Supportive workplace filled with dedicated and engaged staff working together to meet customer service goals.  Informal but professional management structure.

All other employees were extremely friendly, management was very good as well. The environment of the store was always very friendly and happy. Management was understanding about the balance between work and life.
