I worked for them for 5 years. Times are tough and bids are really tight but my wage stayed same. Few jobs I was the foreman. When times were decent, I really loved working for them. Economy tanked, we only had 1 major site left. Some management is good and some are bad but, like that most places. I never had big issues with pay and safety is big part of their culture. I have made some amazing money for the few years but, the client was cutting back overtime and it made it tougher to go work up there for less plus you had to travel on the dangerous highway #63 more often. They never rushed me, so I was able to work steady pace to get the job done right, made it look awesome for the customer to easily give us more work.

Working for this company has made my communication skills better since it involves communicating over the radios and talking to the coworkers the whole day. I work in the environment where team work is an absolute. The work involves maintaining all the plant valves, transmitters and installing new instrumentation.

I really enjoyed working at NorCan Electric. Excellent and hard working management & coworkers. NorCan strived to have an excellent working relationship with all of their employees, both office staff and field workers.

It is an electrical engineering and service company operated by local people in Fort McMurray，The company's management is general, belongs to the IBEW trade union company.

Site supervision is good with few quirks that can and will improve.
good company for apprentices that are willing to learn and advance in their career.

growth and new experiences with great people to work with. Starting out in the maintainance main contractor. I did small projects moving to the removal and installation of new perminant lighting to finishing off in the shutdown of snowy owl.

Its a union job, days a long, but money compensates your time. The crew is always there being helpful. Definitely a family feel. Typical camp job, no fly in or out, based in Fort Mac. Usually find your own ride, but definitely worth it
