Norfolk County

Norfolk County was a fantastic municipality to work for.  They were forward thinking, encouraging and there to help you along the way.  A typical day would consist of office work and field work.  The municipal leader were very involved with the employees and the residence which made for great line for open communication.  Management was very receptive to new ideas, advancement that you were needing.  It was incredible to deal with colleagues and very hard to leave the position.

Every neighbouring municipality pays more, but that is the least of it. They get tons of grievances because they treat the unionized employees like trash. Most unionized employees have more work than they can handle. Very little training is provided. Head of HR is extremely disrespectful and seems to serve only to protect management. Working for Norfolk County has been the biggest mistake I’d my career. 

Many issues brought to management and senior management and nothing is ever done. No support in your position because everyone is overloaded with work that nobody can help. Bad workers keep their jobs and hard working employees that care are pushed out the door. Management doesn't ever check in and you're left to figure it out and train on your own 

Working for Norfolk County is great. they Have Great people and Employees. The work is moderate and it doesnt take a lot of effort but makes a big difference on the outcome when it is all said and done. Norfolk county is great with there employees and will do anything to help them out.

A beautiful County to work in, a friendly environment and lots of room to grow. The management is slow and sometimes lacks leadership initiative at the micro level. 

Pros: Friendly environment, work hour flexibility; Opportunity to grow. 
Cons: Low salary, some administrative fatigues;  

Working at the Day Camp was a wonderful job, the money was amazing, the childern where grand to work with. It was organized, and the co-workers were just swell. The hours were fantastic it was 730 - 5. the days didnt even seem long, which was even better. The hardest part of the job to me, was saying "no " to the children .

Toxic under qualified middle managers ( commanders ) which is evident by their inability to retain qualified staff pretty much a revolving door.  Get trained and leave for a respectful workplace.  

Early mornings, but you really learn team work most farmers are pretty good enjoyed meeting knew people but some days can be long and hard if it rains you could get very cold and wet.Always enjoyed it outdoors on the nice days.

Terrible communication from higher ups, will lie to you as well, got told to apply for the fulltime position and wasn’t even notified by call or email that I didn’t get an interview or anything, no notification whatsoever 

No complaints and comments I don't have any issues with the  County and their do a good job and doing good for Norfolk County the work that they are doing within the community is excellent and what is needed
