As a ramp attendant, you will not only do ramp airline related work, but also clean the building, weed, and all outdoor cleaning work. You have to repair ground equipment and mop the floor most of the time. When out of the field, the work has nothing to do with aviation. It's just to buy some straw for the senior management of the company to decorate the banquet venue. When there are only a few flights on weekends, everyone in ramp will go home to rest when there is no flight, but I don't. Then the others directly report to the manager to exclude me and dismiss me. And I got fired after that. The company's policy is that most candidates for other positions should start from ramp, resulting in uneven experience of ramp employees. Which is sucks, they use career prospects to induce you to work for ramp services, no matter you are an AME or pilot. Let me feel a serious unfair experience when I working there.

Great family culture, great hours and salary. Friendly staff and east to talk to management. Was blessed with a very good team of people to work with - all had the same sort of work ethic and team spirit. 

Typical day was basically working through a checklist of tasks, monitoring email requests and replying to them, and answering and phone calls that came in. Also coordinated with contractors. Answering customer service questions. Booking group flights. Dealing with lost luggage claims.

I loved working at NCA. Everyone is extremely friendly and inclusive. My manager was super hands one and supportive. They genuinely care about their employees. As a flight attendant they provided the training. The Charter Industry itself can be difficult. But the management is extremely fair and understanding. I was sad to leave. But had to due to Health reasonings. If you are thinking of becoming a Flight Attendant I would recommend this company! 

management is relaxed, quick turnover for department heads so no one really tries to improve a department they want to leave pretty quick
no real reason to stay if you want to move up quick in maintenance at the moment
overall a great place to work if you wish to learn more about the inner workings of a real and professional airline

Cariboo has proven time and again that they can weather a storm.  It's more Reactive than I'd prefer, but charter is a very dynamic and demanding business.  Solid core team with the usual turnover of the rest.  Many see it as a stepping stone.  Aircraft are well cared for.  People are too. Still one of the best paying AME gigs.

NCA is by far one of the best companies that i've worked for, as an apprentice. i highly recommend them, and would love to work for them in the future, again.

Most of the people that I got to work with were amazing people and worked very hard. There does seem to be a bit of a disconnect between management and the people working under them. This place took a hard hit when the economy in Alberta slowed down

Low salary. Poor communication from the chief pilot down. Company says they don’t make any money while they fly all
Government contracts. Low salary for all first officers and they have a bond.

Ownership was understanding a supportive. Embarrassed team culture and can do attitude. Most enjoyed the company events and parties. Everyone was like family and wanted everyone to succeed.

North Cariboo has laid off a significant number of employees — including senior leaders, AMEs, Directors, VPs, and many others in between. If that doesn’t say something about the situation, then I wish you the best.
