*Management will do anything to not to pay bonus (i.e. release full-time employee before bonus payout for no reason). They promise big bonus in offer letter as they know they will never pay it.
*Do not join roles in IS/IT Dept. IS/IT dept systematically removing people, mostly people from abroad.
*Micro-management 

Management is disrespectful - I sat in some very unprofessional meetings. No communication from top down. Extreme micromanaging culture where seat checks occur if you’re not present working at your desk when your calendar is open. Work from home not allowed and if you do work from home for appointments, reports will get pulled and affect your performance and bonus. Leaders can’t get out of the weeds and there is a lack of trust. Cost pressure is high and results in micromanagement. Good for those that like high pressure high stress situations. I was a top performer and was still scrutinized for everything I did.

Never had a seriously negative experience with a co-worker or contactor. Treaded fairly by low tier management and never had much to complain about. But let me tell you, the people running this place at the higher-top end are definitionally incompetent, driving away any and all talent from this place with their recently updated progression system. Used to have to learn 4 Posts to be top pay rate as per the agreement during the hiring process. After I was hired this agreement was altered and now it is required to learn 6 outside posts and 2 panels... this will take 10 years to complete, stay clear of this place. 

As an embedded contractor any safety issues brought forth were pushed back until "after start up", three years later, no start up, and no safety improvements.  The facilities were under engineered and instead of working to close gaps I was told that I can be replaced.  I want to make sure my coworkers are safe so I have to redneck engineer quite a few systems to make sure it's safe because NWR's management will not address them.

most rewarding part of a job is being recognized and rewarded for completion of project on time.

I had the opportunity to joint the company when it first started. Work life balance. The management had strong leadership skills. I was fortunate to work with some competent and collaborative colleagues. 

Typical work day has long hours, however, has great rewards when a person sees achievement.  Managers are overall very good and encouraging.  There are a couple of parties which have less than optimal people skills, but this does not diminish the overall project.  Co-workers are eager to assist and are professional.

First Refinery built in over 35 years. Great camaraderie within the work place. Company started from scratch and all processes and procedures were created and implemented by the various business units. Salaries and bonuses were highly competitive.
