Highest management and staff turnover that I have ever experienced. Hard to achieve business goals when leadership had constant change in direction. Lack of communication among departments.In a nutshell. Company has a total absence of a reliable, accountable higher management.Changes at top would benefit them.

- no HR DEPT. Management can do/ say what they want 
- no accountability to customers. 
- no experience at management levels. 
- supervisors show favoritism to certain type of employees. 
- extremely high turn over of employees 
- employee will be blamed for supervisors/ Management errors. 
- no safety awareness in warehouse. 
- poor training ability. 
- questionable procedures 
- moral abuse. 
- no clear future goal for this company. 
- family operated.

The people I worked with at the store level were fantastic. Very caring and motivated to make the customer happy. 

Senior management caused every issue we dealt with and caused a mass exodus company wide. The "higher ups" in Edmonton are undereducated in northern living. They are driving a 60 yr old business into the dirt. What once was the only place to be is now a ghost town. Unfortunate.

It is very much a family run business with the daughter and son given high up management positions; if you do not work well with one, you might as well consider your gob gone. I was scouted out to head their new construction supply chain for CNRL only to find after I set up all the vendors, the Managers daughter came back from maternity leave and they found excuses to terminate me. Not to be trusted

HR is lacking and doesn’t understand how to do there job.
The culture is like high school if you’re not one of them your outcast. 
Management is poor and picks its favourites. 
Supervisors pick their favourites and training is poor.
Absolutely no safety surprised OHS hasn’t been called in yet. 
This company is owned by Tenaquip which should show poorly on them.

learned all about the work culture in the Yukon, NWT, Northern BC , and Nunavut. Dealt with miners to diamond mines have a good understanding regarding the clients I dealt with

I enjoyed working at NIS. Because I was corporate, my supervisors and co-workers worked in Edmonton and Montreal but I was always included in the branch activities. 

great people to work with, company is canadian owned and operated , numerous locations , great benifit plan, opertunity for advancement

Great manager and supervisors co workers were amazing great crew funny people made the day go by fast always treated fairly and well trained by co workers and supervisors

Decent hours low pay bad management if you need a job fast its a good fit not long term tho  the manager at the time had no experience in managing which made it hard to work for them
