High turn over, management vs employee culture. Constant pressure to upsell and little/no reward for your hard work other than a mediocre paycheck. 
No insentive to get your run done quickly as management doesn’t like you clocking out before they take lunch even though you’re salary and you started your run at 0300. 
Your pay is quickly capped and there’s year long gaps in between those small raises as it is. Trucks are constantly breaking. The clothes they make you wear are cheap and always ripping and tearing. They are users. They’ll suck whatever they can out of you and don’t respect their customers at all until their contract is about to be up and then they’ll show face for a month just to get them to sign again.
 Look at the minute amount of people who are lifers there. This should be a large red flag for anyone as there’s only a couple drivers with 10+ years

The ten-hour workdays seemed daunting at first, but the four day work week and three day weekends are hard to say no to. Days surprisingly go by pretty quickly, and not noticeably different compared to a general eight-hour work week. 

They generally look to hire in two different areas, the mat plant, and assembly side. 

The mat plant pays more, but involves a lot of heavy lifting and folding of mats, as well as loading and unloading trucks of mats and clothing. 

If you're not the lifting type, the assembly side of the plant has a lot of options for places to work, and puts an emphasis on being trained in multiple areas, so that most people aren't doing the same task every day. 

Both areas have opportunities for regular bonuses and raises. It's a great place for a stable work environment. 

This is a good place to work for people that want to work responsibly. People are treated like family and given support.
 There are tenure, production and multiple trained job bonuses as a way to earn extra. There have always been significant Christmas and May bonuses. The company continues to grow and there is room for advancement.
  As this is an essential industry during covid crisis there have been no layoffs- people were offered the ability to work at other tasks if there is no work in their area and did not lose wages.
Plant is extremely clean 
Safety/forklift training is provided

You quickly get the sense you're part of a family and a big team making things work well everyday. 
Performance is important to the company & the customers - you work hard and you are paid fairly.  There are many ways to make even more money if you have the right work ethic and attitude.  If you don't work hard, you won't cut it. If you don't follow procedures, you won't cut it. But that's fair and your co-workers appreciate that.
Management lives by company values and are approachable (open door policy).  Company is fair with employees & customers.

The pay is half decent and there are some good bonus opportunities but the work is very physically demanding and repetitive. Management is often not around to answer questions/offer help and your left to guess. Communication between head office (Sudbury) and the south (Bradford) is awful. As a driver in the south you are left with making up excuses/lying to the customer to save face for the company because Sudbury didn't send what you need for the day. Other drivers are great but it's not worth the hard work day in and day out on your own on the road.

I have worked at Northern Uniform for 10 years,  I have been given a lot of opportunity to learn and grow within the company and appreciate the encouragement and respect that they have given me over the years.  Northern Uniform has the best employees as well as a great management team,  During Covid while most businesses were laying off we kept all of our employees working and offered alternative work so they would not lose hours or money.  Northern Uniform cares for the employees and rewards hard work.

I just started at Northern Uniform and love it so far. The range of jobs are easy to learn, straight-forward, and the days go by fast. Looking forward to working toward personal goals within the company and toward the bonuses available. Four day work work, three day weekend is perfect and should be available at more workplaces. Staff are super friendly. So far I love it here, and honestly I have a lot of fun doing the work despite it being repetitive.

Northern Uniform is a great Canadian Company to work for. With a State of the art facilities and a commitment from ownership to continue to be on top of there game and provide a great culture for their employees to grow and be proud of where they work. My experience here has been very positive and even though I've been in this industry for over 30 years now, I have learned so much from this great company. 

Honestly not a bad gig if you are built for demanding physical labor. 

Management can be very cantankerous here.  Depends on who you are I suppose and how much unprofessionalism you can tolerate.

Training was insufficient,  average training is 2-3 weeks when there are weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly service calls to learn.   Training should be a Minimum of 8 weeks for new hires.

I have worked at Northern Uniform for 10 years and I am very happy there.  I’m treated fairly and treated with respect from coworkers as well as management.  Since COVID began most employers laid people off, Northern Uniform kept all employees and offered alternative work to keep employees from losing hours and money.
