What is the best part of working at the company?
Some of the coworkers were great to work with, but most of the time when you're giving simple directions you're being screamed at for basic instructions on how to do the job

Being constantly yelled at for basic instructions on how to do things or being directed to do things you're always being yelled at

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is very stressful most of the time because of the constant screaming and yelling to do anything and even then the instructions are not very clear

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The foremans and site supervisor are always losing their cool and are having a massive hissy fit due to lack of instructions

I enjoyed working with noyen, the only complaints I would have about the company and how it worked from my observations would be the stuck in their ways of using paper for everything, nothing is electronic aside from the pre work orientation. The next complaint I would have would be the lack of communication between the field and the office (some of the foreman seem to be able to break the law without repercussion)

Worked at Noyen for a few seasons and overall had nothing but good experiences with various foreman/ projects. Long hours working 11hr days 12 on 2 off but I didn’t mind after getting used it 
Very good attitude and environment at the company, my coworkers and foreman were all easy to get along with and I never had any problems with people at work

The typical day at site is getting to work and filling out your Field level hazard assessment and doing the daily toolbox meeting.  You would either be building stock piles.  The best part of work was the people that you worked with, the hours weren't too bad. sometimes you wouldn't find out you were working the weekend that was supposed to be your days off until a few days before hand. but all around a good company to work for

Noyen is a great company that has many great foreman that are understanding and are willing to teach and assist newer employees that have good attitudes and they advance those employees onto other equipment etc. I have been with them.for over 5 years and have enjoyed the fast paced but safe environment. Lots of hours but it's worth it come payday

Working here was a challenge, foreman yelling and cursing at everyone, calling people stupid and dumb on two way radios, pay wasn’t bad, but most of crew was family members of owners and supervision, older equipment if you weren’t family. Will never work for this company again

For a company that has 50 plus years experience in the construction business is impressive.  
What is not are mean bosses berating employees, swearing and yelling at every opportunity.  Seeing conflicts arise between employees and doing nothing to intervene.  Complete toxic culture.

We worked a minimum of 10 hour days. Management was always friendly and open. I thoroughly enjoyed working for this company. Safety was always important to them and it showed.

Company seems to have a good foundation, good safety culture and pretty good selection of potential job titles. Would recommend working here, stayed busy in the summer and as long as you were a diligent worker, winter work was also often an option 

Noyen Construction was a Edmonton located company with very little employee turnover. Once you proved yourself you were like family. The Bosses were great to work for and the employees had a close bond.
