Long ago, it used to be a great and fun place to work. Then came the painful recession and changes in management, and downhill went the company. 

Learned a lot of new things since it is a medium size company with easy access to all functions. 

Some members of the management believe that in a economy like this employees are "dime a dozen" and one can infer what that would mean in its attitude towards its employees. 

Clear communication is absent. Rules change everyday and they get more impractical everytime it changes. Rules apply strictly for most and some are beyond rules.

I agree with another reviewer who states that the company takes that are outside its comfort range and does not follow labour laws with respect to shifts and overtimes.

Onec has a very toxic environment, due to only hiring entry level engineers, work quality is limited. Fabrication facility is stuck in the eighties. Internal teams do not work together and there is a lot of back stabbing and lying. I can believe they have been around for so long and so poorly run. Management consists of individuals with personal agendas and conspire together against anyone that does not conform to their poor decisions. 

Company is challenged to keep employees, culture is one of top down.  Sell a good culture on joining, and soon becomes apparent its a dictatorship, the CEO is weak, with the CFO not valuing people, shareholders are silent puppets.  Some past indiscretions as an organization, on the safety front and other construction issues, have left them with a bit of a black eye. 
Bad combination, little wonder they are 20 years old, and trying to find their way.

work days were hard working but stress free. learned a new trade  different from the one I was previously working in. management was on top of bringing new work to the table and always straight up with changes within company (well Managed). everyone was easy to get along with and the work environment was very easy going as long as work was getting done.

Decent company to work for.  Not a spot for slackers or guys used to hiding on big sites for a paycheck.  Work can be sporadic at times and  can sometimes receive calls or information in the evening that you're headed to a different site the next day, somewhat typical of satellite crew work but can get frustrating at times if it occurs often.

Very safe and professional place to work. Excellent group of guys and the communication was on point. Would recommend working with them if the chance is given. They have some very knowledgeable and talented workers and leaders there. Lots of compassion and a very family oriented company.

If you like a fast paced, challenging, get it done work environment and don't hide around and collect a paycheck this might be the spot for you.
Scaffold division is a tight knit group of hard headed work horses that like to get the job done the right way. If you are worth it they'll take care of you and keep you busy

Have had a good experience working for Onec , have always been treated fairly and respectfully. Found management has had good leadership and fellow workers are competent in thier fields of work.

Loved it... The guys were awesome to work with / for.  No lazy employees among that clan.  Work was, "Give er, get er done"; just the way I like to operate.  It was my first scaffolding job, away from my union, in almost 20 years.  A refreshing change...

Managers and supervisors did not have backgrounds in the fields of the work they were doing.  Took on projects that were out of their comfort range.  Did not follow labour laws involving shift changes
