As an employee of Oetiker Canada, I have been afforded many learning and growing opportunities. Included in these activities are participation in continuous improvement activities, opportunities for cross training over multiple job categories and  training and courses paid for by the company if you pass.  
In normal times the company and social committee worked together to provide Christmas parties for both employees and children. These activities also helped the community with food drives, toy drives and participation in fundraising activities such as the walk for life to beat cancer .
Continuous improvement is important here.  Employees are encouraged to submit ideas to enhance safety and productivity. Health benefits,         
 a pension plan and coverage for safety boots and prescription safety glasses are other amenities of employment at Oetiker.
Two decades at Oetiker has taught me a lot, allowed me to meet and develop friendships with many great people, allowed me opportunities for travel, competitions and trying out many great dishes at the annual Christmas pot luck lunch. Hopefully this tradition will continue after this pandemic is behind us.
Thanks to Oetiker for keeping us all safe throughout this trying time. Safety committee and management have been great through all of this.  
Quite a few of the workforce have 20 to almost 40 years  experience here. Opportunities will be arising from our retirement 
Expectations are high but the rewards  are many.

I worked as a repair technician for the stamping presses, as part of my educational co-op program. This company really appreciates each of of there workers, providing a very comfortable work environment and accommodating where possible. 

As much as the focus is production, it is also to insure the operators are given every tool for success. Being a family owned company, the social environment is very strong, so there is no fear in bringing up issues.

Additionally, the plant location is 5 minutes away from down town Allison, with a large selection of restaurants for breaks/lunch.

It is a manufacturing facility so like any factory you need to follow processes and procedures to a tee, which Oetiker is great at documenting. Production work is not difficult, and the work is clean compared to other factories. Bonus that the environment is air conditioned. 

Room for advancement within the company is there. Also has an education program for employees who want to advance their skills. 

Company shows appreciation to its employees by hosting raffles, employee lunches, Christmas parties and other employee events. 

Great potential if the opportunities could be there. Money is good, great bennifits, pension plan and yearly bonus along with employee appreciation activities but unless you fit the clique opportunities lack. The products made there are top notch and the quality is outstanding. There's no real opportunity for inter-department development in most departments and moving to other departments is next to impossible. Don't say no to an opportunity at Oetiker, just be aware of its inner challenges and accept them in hopes that things might change.

Great pay, benefits, pension, task variety. Oetiker is a friendly place to work and take care of their employees. Near the start of the pandemic when some workplaces were shutting down or cutting hours, Oetiker went the extra mile to ensure all employees were still paid in full. Many opportunities for advancement within the company as employees have been working here for over 30 years and starting to get ready for retirement, more and more opportunities are rising.  

I really enjoy my job at Oetiker LTD. unfortunately the drive is just too far for my to continue commuting everyday. In a work day myself and a team of 2 other employees work together to keep multiple steel presses running and running good quality parts we are required to do internal audits to assure all aspects of the item being produced are in spec. The management at Oetiker respect us and treat us well they appreciate what we do and i enjoy working with my co workers.

Conducted testing, and collected data for statistical process control and PPAP. Trained in using PPAP computer software and able to work alone within a week. Managed and prepared PPAP submissions for clients inquiries. Developed a throughout understanding for blueprint reading and GD&T. Experienced gauges: vernier, microscope, Rockwell hardness tester, scale, CMM

Oetiker is the worst job I have had in my adult life.  If your not somebody's favorite they let everyone walk all over you.  I was the former material handler for 5 years and I was let go for no good reason at all. Also it's  a very toxic work environment where people are allowed to bully you if you're not well liked. 

Most people are very nice and enjoyable to work with. 
But if you are not the loudest member of your department or best friends with management forget about even being spoke to. 
Some employees are over worked while others get by with doing bare minimum and making up their own “projects” to look busy. 
Very poor work / life balance. 


I worked with Oetiker for a two month contract, during my time there the environment is safe and the people are great to work with. I enjoyed the working hours of 7 am to 3:30 pm. As a CSR I entered orders into the system, processed pick tickets for the shipping department and kept files in order.
