As an instructor, I can tell you that the students are fantastic with a very wide array of local and immigrant students. However, the problem is with the administration. All my courses had errors or expired resources that did not correspond to the proper editions of texts that the students were told to purchase. You are only paid for the time you teach, so if you have to re-do all of the learning materials for presentatios/excercises/tests, you quickly discover that you are actually working for minimum wage. In addition, the administration doesn't complete student survey's to actually measure the results of the teaching; instead they relly on rumour so if anyone says anything bad about you, you can be in trouble.

They cut so many corners. I was never to have a usable whiteboard, proper teaching materials, the internet frequently went down, they are alsways short-staffed, and there is a lot of turn-over for a reason.

If you are a first time instructor, this might be a good place to start. But start applying elsewhere as soon as you can. I miss my students but not the frustration and long-hours of preparing proper materials.

I can't speak about the CEO or administration because we never saw him. There were also no staff meetings. The campus manager was always super busy and covering two campuses. They never seemed to hire someone for the other location. Some of the other staff were really nice, but really no time for much interaction.

I worked here for several years and left emotionally depleted. The environment is not just disorganized—it is actively harmful. There is no real support for faculty, no HR presence, and no transparency around pay. Management fosters a climate of fear where speaking up is punished, and silence is rewarded.

Team meetings are discouraged. Everything is handled through isolated one-on-one conversations, which creates a power imbalance and silences staff. Students are rushed through under-resourced programs, and faculty are expected to carry an unsustainable emotional and academic load without recognition or protection.

Concerns about ethics, safety, and fairness are dismissed or reframed as “negativity” or “not being a team player.” Even reporting serious student issues is met with hostility. Requests for clear communication, role clarity, or fair compensation are ignored or treated as personal attacks.

On the surface, everything is polished. But behind closed doors, many people are hurting.

I would not recommend this workplace to anyone who values professionalism, collaboration, or psychological safety. You may survive here, but you will lose parts of yourself in the process.

Hired when someone else quit without notice and stranded the students. Not told I wouldn't have ANY control. Given classes with prep materials with little to no relevant information to what was being tested upon. When I approached management to reassess materials, having worked in the career directly for the last 10+ years, I was told they'd be happy to go over stuff and reduce what isn't relevant or is outdated... But that they wouldn't be paying me for my time or knowledge. 

They never told me I'd have to pay for parking. They never told me I'd be paid monthly.

The worst place.  Unorganized, policies- they have none, so when they tell you do it one way they end up wanting it another, then complain when you have to back track and can’t do other work.  
They want you to make 60 calls an hour but also meet with people and do other admin work.  During covid they delayed starts because no one wanted to do online learning, so when you lose the students that do sign up due to the delayed start it’s your fault.  They don’t pay enough commission.  You are not even going to make 37,000 for the all the work you put into this job and they promise you 80,000-100,000 in potential commission earnings. 

Staff are under valued, under paid and over worked.
Executive team is all friends or family of owner.
Little to no training was provided. Support was virtually non existent. Not given enough tools to complete tasks.
Poor student supply/book order protocol which meant students were often left without the tools or equipment needed to complete labs.
Sole purpose of company was to enrol as many students as possible with little regard for student success. 

The cheapest most unethical place I have ever worked. Completely unorganized from the recruitment stage. It is a family run business, no HR. They would not approve a stapler remover and I was told to buy my own. Paid once a mth and if they make a error, you wait until the next month to get your money. Even though you are salaried you have to punch in/out everyday, zero trust. Does not make employees feel appreciated.

Oxford College at the Barrie Campus is new and very unorganized. The hire people and have them do their job, input all information into their system and then fire them at their disposal. The turnover rate is horrible. They do not value their employees. Would not recommend working for this company.
