PD Plus Tutoring Service

Teaching is a job that you are involved with most innocent people in the world. If you do not love it, do not go for it. The management is expected to be supportive for the employees in all jobs no only teaching, however teaching probably needs more attention from the management as teachers are involved physically and mentally with their students. The hardest part of the job is teachers need to challenge different kinds of people, ages, and cultures. We as teachers need to meet at least most of their needs. Being successful at doing this would be on be one of the biggest success for each of us.  The best part is you can see your students' growth like your plant that you water every day and enjoying its blooming.

This company is great if you have a busy schedule. You are able to take on as many students as you see fit. The schedule is very flexible ,you essentially make your own hours. I am a full time practicum student and I still have time to work because of the understanding in management and the choice hours. Anyone who feels overwhelmed about their schedule, though needs to work and likes to teach/ work with students ages k-university,  I highly recommend pd plus tutoring!!

I don't interact with the manager often, and mostly we communicate via emails. The response from the management is typically fast and efficient. I usually travel to student's place or to a public library. The hardest part of the job is the travelling. Sometimes there is heavy traffic so I have to plan my tutoring sessions according to location and time of the day. The best part is to see the students improve.

I came across this job in late 2017, and I've worked with a plethora of people. It has always been a pleasure working for PD Plus; the company is very well-organized, and the clients that I tutor are always fun to work with. They always have a stream of clients coming in, so it is easy to find someone to work with. Overall, I would recommend this position for anyone who has a passion in teaching people.

I would highly recommend the service to parents but I would not recommend the job to tutors. We do a great job but most of what we do is unpaid; preparation time, travel, gas, administration, reports, time spent reporting to and interacting  with parents and we only receive 2/3rds of what we earn forever after the initial introduction.

I just found out that PDPlus increase the charges for the hourly tuition fees on the students. However, the tutors did not get any increase. That is unfair to the tutors as the tutors drive to the students' house to tutor without any gas strip or anything but the organization take a big cut. That is very unfair.

Most communication between tutors and the organization is done via email. Management is very helpful and flexible with schedule. This is a great tutoring organization to work for and offers great opportunities for expanding your skills as a teacher, writer and editor.

The company does a good job in getting keen students and informing the clients(parents) of the way the system works and the parents and students generally know what to expect. All the tutor has to do is deliver the best service possible as they are encouraged by the company to do.

PD Plus is a very well managed tutoring outfit with friendly professionals in charge that can handle nearly all type of student-parent-tutor relations.  It is an excellent option for folks who love to teach and want to have a part-time job to supplement income.

I’ve been working here almost since I came to Vancouver, director of the company is maybe the nicest person to work with/for. You don’t tutor here, you learn as well and this aspect of the company attracts me the most. Also the support you receive from your supervisor is priceless!
