So to start there are several problems. Firstly, The store is run in a way that completely disregards the value of employees in most regards. To list some: Bad punch in locations( far from actual break room). Most managers treat each person differently and its pretty evident. Unrealistic work loads that catch you off guard. Most health and safety protocols set by province disregarded and ignored. Gaslighting from management especially in regards to safety. Intimidation used to manage employees. especially in regards to new employees. Store owner shows no regard for covid-19 provincial rules and laws. toxic masculinity that creates a kind of hostile environment (Boys club). Overall very low score.

Pino offered me a chance to work for one of the best employers in town.  I learned to make subs on quality bread and decorate, top and cook pizza in a very fast paced environment. Pino's reminds me of a vibrant place in Italy, with many shoppers passing by.  It was very nice to help people that wanted good quality pizza products. At Pino's your not just paying for a name, you are getting high quality and perfection.  That's why people shop there. Very enjoyable and interesting place to work. One needs to have thick skin as people can be confrontational, in a very fast paced environment. It was very rewarding to work with young people as I learned a little more about youth culture in the work place.

Pino's get fresh its an ok job if your a student looking to make a little money but I would not recommend it as a source of income.
My in all my time there I was a part timer working the full time hour's with no benefits or perks. I worked produce but had to deal with other departments as well. my day consisted of trimming and setting out product then cleaning and putting away stock and vice versa. depending on who i was working with it would go smoothly or it would be like pulling teeth.
I'm not saying its all bad i made some really good friends and it was fulfilling work despite the pay

Generally speaking it was a great work environment! But after 13 years in the grocery industry, I needed to make a change for myself and return to school. As of this June I will have gained my Office Administration and Human Resources Management Certificate with a specialization in Business Management and Marketing.  I'm looking to join the exciting world of business, in some form, I truly strive to be a young business professional, that enjoys her career.

While I have no bad things to say about the work itself, the culture and beliefs of the employees there is deplorable. Few employees adhere to covid regulations and customers are allowed in without masks. Many times have I had to listen to ex-coworkers talk about how covid is a hoax and masks are being used to control us. How if you get the vaccine you're a sheep. It was truly exhausting.

The best part about the company is you were busy your entire shift.

The supervisor and most of the management management

Work environment was very toxic

You were busy from the time you started until the end of your shift.

I didn't work here very long. I was hired for full time department manager. You would think that, being a manager, there would be perks (like wknds off, day shifts..) but they actually expect the managers to be there ALL THE TIME. 10hr shifts (8am-6pm), only one Saturday off a month. I asked for an extra sat. off and got a hard no. Not a job for someone with a family who wants to have a life.

Although the job is repetitive, I always enjoyed the atmosphere of the store as well as the communication aspect with my customers. I know that when I go grocery shopping, the experience is always 100% better with a good store atmosphere, as well as great service. This is what I strived to provide working at Pinos. Would recommend!

Fast paced environment, toxic work environment, if you are not liked they look for reasons to fire you but pet everyone else do what you are being written up for. Very cliquey management/supervisors. Would nor recommend. 

Had a great time working in the deli department at PINOS GET FRESH, fast-paced work environment and lots of experience with serving customers. Great staff to work with, and management is amazing! Highly recommended.
