A typical day working at Pratts , would be my getting set up for my shift. I would pick up my work order,go to my work station and go through all of them.
I would start filling the orders for the packer. When done filling orders I would go to another area to see if they needed my help filling their orders.I would help if needed. 
Then I would go check the stock in the area I worked, I would restock my shelves for the next day.
Then I would help load skids put them in order for the shippers. 
I learned how important it is to know my stock and keep it up to date.
I had to learn what to do when we were short on stock, fill orders check the orders making that we were sending out the right product.
I learned how to do inventory.
The management were great it is a family owned company, their were family members working in all areas of the warehouse, from picking orders to supervisors. They never acted like they were better then the rest of the staff. 
I so enjoyed working there the hardest part was getting laid off. I enjoyed going to work every day to the point when ever they were short staff I would stay late or go in early. The people relations were the best.

As a driver this job is pretty great. You work 4-5 days a week with around 10 hours a day (could be more or less depending on your route). You get your weekends off and you are home every night. Perfect for people with families. 
The job consists of delivering food to restaurants using a wheeler. The hardest part of the job is digging through pallets trying to find product. The best part about the job as a driver is all the trucks are fairly new (all trucks are less than two years old). 
In the Edmonton location all the employees from management to sales reps to drivers have great attitudes and strive to help this company grow. I have watched this company almost triple in size since I first started. All in all great atmosphere and would recommend this job for anyone seeking employment. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
going home at night. The place is toxic.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
management, threatening and screaming tactics, never a thank you for a job. Well done.

work environment? Culture? None of the above

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
underpaid and lucky to get six hours of work per day they tell drivers 50 hours a week. That’s only for newbies that I get put on 10 to 14 stops up and down ramp for $20 an hour class 1 drivers only make $23 And will never see eight hours a day because they subcontract out instead of looking after their employees well-being

Bad management, poor communication with them and low given salary. Not much room for moving up unless you show them you can do the work, but even then you can be stuck at a low rate for a long time without them ever giving you more. If your rate is too high, they would fire you for no reason. Family run company, great coworkers and owners are very kind, but avoid working here. The place is not run well, the quality of shipments we shipped was disgusting. There are plenty of better jobs out there. Don't stay too long here or you could get stuck, like many people there.

I started off as an order selector on the night shift in March of 93 , I then started moving from shift to shift over the years where I learned to receive, put away stock and ship. I was the lead hand for the evening shift up until I was laid off in January of 07. I returned in July of 07 and was back on the night shift where on my first night back I was training a new order selector. I was back in shipping and stayed there till April of 13 where I went back to being the lead hand of the evening shift till November of this year. I thought very highly of my co-workers and enjoyed the challenges available.

Tons of overtime available during peak season

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Upper management are detached and lacking awareness. Morale is brutally low

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
High stress and high pace during peak. A little more relaxed during down times

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Absolute gong show for the majority of the day

*This company is more about food products. They are the one who delivered in some restaurants and hospitals.
*During my stay in this company I've learned a lot specially how to face the difficult part of the work such as; drive the pallet machine in the middle of the isle, pick the product and to assemble it in a pallet.
*My co-workers are very nice they are the one who guide me when the times that i still need a helping hand.
*Everytime that I worked i considered it as the most enjoyable part of the job.

Not at all a good place to work.  Abusive supervisory staff and co-workers, no support from management.

Promised raises and benefits not given - work expectations unreasonable and well beyond the scope of your job title and certainly not even worth for what you get for paid.

Plenty of false promises. No advancement, no future.

Mixed cultures and favoritism on evening shift

Ok I worked in the Freezer!!!

Poorly run place, favoritism to those who've been their longer, keep stuffing product in racking , tonnes of product coming in , a joke ,  wages may have increased since 2004 , but the only Good thing was mon-fri    day shift , no list in front of you on what product needs attention, just drive around and look for empty spots
