Worked here last summer. Bring on the hard work but the employees yelling at Supervisors  was crazy. But the managers are degrading say one thing do another. Over paid clowns fooling head office into their importance. As for head office I do believe their professional and mean the best but inside production facilities are not the same thing. Forklift drivers too dangerous. The so called team work is forced, there's no good will for the most part. I hated the gossip, putting down of supervisors sometimes to their faces, the wanna be tough guy. When I started and was being walked around most never even attempted to shake my hand, long faces and jealousy to protect what ever post they think they have. There are clicks. The recruiter at that time was fare and curtious while being professional but the floor staff put her down constantly. I could not be apart of that and want to perform the way I do and like it so basically quit after a week. Too bad. Pay needs to be allocated more logically based upon hard work not how much you flap your mouth.

Working at PCFP was one of the most frustrating and demoralizing experiences of my career. The environment is toxic from the top down, dominated by micromanagement, poor leadership, and a complete lack of respect for employees. 
 Upper management is alarmingly incompetent — Particularly the HR Director, CFO and Controller. They lack a basic understanding of leadership. Instead of offering guidance or vision, they create confusion and foster mistrust. Management is disorganized, confrontational, and often more focused on assigning blame than actually solving problems. Their lack of professionalism trickles down into every department. 
Instead of empowering their teams, managers seem more invested in maintaining control and shielding their own poor performance. It’s no wonder turnover is so high. Talented people either burn out or leave, and those who stay are stuck doing more with less—without appreciation or fair compensation.

Pacific Coast Fruit Products was an amazing company to work for up until a few years ago. Changes in Leadership unfortunately shifted the workplace culture. It became defined by a toxic work culture that not only went unchecked but was actively dismissed, especially by the HR Director.  Instead of being an advocate for employees and a steward of ethical workplace practices, the HR Director appeared more invested in protecting poor leadership and maintaining a culture of fear and micromanaging. There was little to no support for employee development or mental well-being, and turnover was high due to burnout and lack of accountability.


If im not moving my goal is to retired in this company.since i came here in canada this company teach me and learn a lot on a fruit processing.i mean all the task and work inside the plant.although this is my 5th and last full time job before moving to another province here in 🇨🇦 i can say that working here is so calm and not stressing job.and most of all i like working with my team.it is normal sometimes that there are problems but we always figure it out to solve it.

Its a good company to for, however recently they had a change in management. New management is cutting benefits of hourly employees, to make more profits. Slowly work culture is getting spoiled. Its was people oriented company and slowly changing path towards profit oriented. However company's old management has build strong foundation, work ethics and it will take  2-3 years to bring them down. 
Overall it’s better than its manufacturing competitors around. With time it is getting close to any other average company. 

If you are going to work at Pacific Coast you should be ready for constant 10 hours working with you taking a break by asking if the break is available,(Everyone in the building had to take turns taking breaks). You were constantly yelled at over small things. If the berry was poured a bit too fast the supervisors would yell pretty much to tell you to stop and would get someone else to work there embarrassing you twice as much in front of many people. Altogether it is not great, rather work somewhere else.

A typical day at the pacific coast was dumping barriers into the berry machine and doing that for almost 6 to 7 hours and switching jobs so one person would pass the barriers to the dumper and one would dump the barriers.The hardest part was pacific coast carney because we had to work 12 hours a day and by the 10th or 11th hour your body would start to hurt but that taught me handwork. The most enjoyable part of one of the job was being able to work with my friends.

You cant think or make decisions for yourself. Always treated like you dont know what your doing. Doesnt matter if you been there twenty years or four, if your in the same position your getting paid the same. The new hires start at a wage that isnt much lower then the employees who have been there years. You cant take any vacations during summer. If you dont want to be talked to rudely to by your supervisor and management and treated bad over all. Dont work there!

Inexperienced and insecure HR , no people skill , waste of time ,  no training provided , cold atmosphere. Hr Generalist manipulative, insecure and ignorant. He will not let anyone succeed . Worst management and leaders i have seen in my career. They wont take responsibility of their actions and improve rather will tale easy way and will blame on you and will ask you to leave because of their incompetence of handling situations. 

If you are a diligent worker and can get things done, they'll make sure to bombard you with plenty. Decent work place if you stay vigilant and out of the whole politics that goes around. Better than average pays in this industry which is keeping many employees despite the unfar treatment.
