CONS
1. “Bonus” is paid out in RSUs over three years, making it more of a retention tool than a true performance-based incentive.  
2. RSUs are forfeited upon leaving the organization, further reinforcing that they are not an actual bonus or a reflection of individual performance or contributions.  3. Health and wellness benefits are standard for the industry—nothing above and beyond, and less competitive than those offered by larger companies in the sector.  4. No standard work-from-home flexibility; policies vary depending on the department head. 
5. No early closures or flex days before long weekends or Summer Fridays, unlike many other companies across the industry.  


Company was going through a restructuring phase, lots of changes going on. Many items were taking too long to get accomplished and move ahead. Collaboration by management was missing and more communication was needed. Love what I do on a daily basis, helping people accomplish daily tasks, researching what is needed to get the job done, moving things through to get to the finish line. Making a positive change for the company to succeed. Love working with internal co-workers and external suppliers. Over all making sure that everyone is accomplishing what they need to get the job done.

The toxicity of the department and the sense that management did not trust you.

I can only speak about my department it was toxic and there was bullying by some in management.

I came in and did my job and got the heck out of there at the end of the day. Never knew what to expect.

Once a pillar of excellence that cared about their employees, they now discredit, micromanage, and undercut all who are not brass. Wages are almost better at McDonald's. 10/10 would not recommend working for this company unless you like worrying about making ends meet. 

Extremely complex situations and difficult winter working conditions .Safety is the top priority at all times there is no compromise for safety with this company. Working with multiple contractors spread out over several sites requires organizational skills beyond the normal level. Despite abnormal winter working conditions the moral was high for the duration of the operation. The team had an extremely positive attitude and despite long hours it was a pleasure to work on this project.

I worked at Paramount Resources Ltd as a contractor for a year, it is a good company to work for.  Most staffs were really friendly and helpful in support of getting task done quickly based on providing relevant information.  I would work for this company again if given the opportunity.

A typical day at work would be running and making sure that all daily reports were sent out to management and the field. Entering wells and jobs into the database to get ready for field work to be done. 
Management was good, i felt comfortable approaching them and working with them.The hardest part of the job was always having my computer with me and working when i went on holidays.The most enjoyable part of my job was the people i worked with were a family to me.

No family life, worked 260+ days every year away from home
Learned everything there is to know about construction/dirt work from a mentor within the office who passed away.

Most enjoyable part of job - Working with the great personnal day to day in the field that i build longterm relationships with

This was a remote work site 110 kms from the city, Grande Prairie in northern Alberta.  We were building a large Natural Gas plant.  I was employed with the parent company in charge of the construction and all 5 of the Lead Inspectors and Project Managers and I worked as a team.  I worked there for over 3 years and if it hadn't been for the oil prices hitting the bottom, the next projects wouldn't have been cancelled, I would still be there.
