Park Town Hotel

Management needs work. Continuously I've seen higher management make poor decisions regarding budget and always putting employees last. Housekeeping is underfunded, the rooms are out of date and becoming hazardous and they are cutting hours of staff because of the lack of budget. This hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The housekeeping facilities and supplies are getting worse and worse as they continuously divert budget elsewhere. The thing that makes this job both worth the trouble and incredibly frustrating is how much the housekeeping staff is like a family, but if you don't fit in, you will be treated noticeably worse. 

Was possibly the worst first job environment I’ve been in. You’ll be called on days off to work, will be given barely any notice for changes in your schedule (if any at all) not to mention every single person I worked with all had a mutual hatred and disrespect for both the manager of the area we worked and the general manager. MANY times I will have asked for a day off and I end up getting scheduled for that day anyways and have to find a replacement. Both managers will invoke fear on their employees, always felt like they were breathing down my neck when they were at work. Absolutely terrible

this is a good job for students but as far as promotions and any kind of future there is none .Their management has been there for many years and are only concerned for their bottom line and they have a ongoing revolving door and thats the way they seem to like it to keep their bottom line low ..they have this attitude that everyone is replaceable .

The Park Town hotel is a wonderful employer in that it caters to its staff's availability of working hours, all while maintaining a professional and positive work attitude and environment.

It usually gets very busy at this restaurant, you meet great people and interact with them. Most of the time its very tiring after work beacause of walking and such. Especially during very busy hours.

Middle Management falls short respecting staff. 
Supervisors aren’t overall helpful.
 
Other staff and upper management are very helpful and great to work with. 

You can make good money here but at a cost. Good luck. 


I was the garmenjar chef there. The hardest parth of the job was to carry heay boxes. The most enjoyable part was making cool fruit and vegetable carvings.

I had done lots of training to increase the productivity of the department. All the managers at that time were very helpful and coordinate with each other to delivery the excellent guest service

It is a fun place to work. Although it gets overwhelming at times, my co-workers make it an enjoyable time. Management is very good at the Parktown Hotel.

It was nice to work with amazing people as a great team. It can be stressful to work because of the fast-paced work environment, however, I enjoyed working here.
