A typical day at Patry Group always kept me on my toes — busy, hands‑on, and full of moments where teamwork really mattered. Over the years, I learned far more than I ever expected, from the technical side of real‑estate development to the importance of patience, communication, and treating people with respect. Management has always been supportive and willing to listen, which made it easy to feel valued and part of something bigger.
The workplace culture is one of the reasons I stayed so long. People look out for each other, and there’s a real sense of pride in the work we do for the Kingston community. The hardest part of the job was juggling the fast pace during peak times, but even that pushed me to grow. The most enjoyable part was seeing projects come to life and knowing I played a part in shaping the city I call home. After many years here, I can honestly say the experience has been meaningful, challenging, and incredibly rewarding

I’m new to the company and recently joined as the Executive Assistant, and I couldn’t have asked for a better onboarding experience. From day one, everyone has been incredibly welcoming, kind, and supportive...it truly feels like a place where people are happy to work. The handover process has been thorough and well-organized, and I’ve been encouraged to ask as many questions as I need, which has made settling into the role both smooth and confidence-boosting. The team genuinely wants you to succeed, and that shows in how they invest time, patience, and care into new hires. This is absolutely a company worth considering.

Very fast paced but I love it!

Fast-paced and it is great as your day flies by. You will have oppertunity to learn a lot.

A typical day involves overseeing audit and tax compliance functions, collaborating with multiple departments, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting. I’ve learned a great deal about cross‑functional communication, leadership, and navigating complex regulatory requirements.
Management is supportive, approachable, and open to new ideas, which creates a productive and trusting environment. The workplace culture is team‑oriented, fast‑paced, and focused on continuous improvement.
The hardest part of the job is managing tight deadlines during peak compliance periods, but it’s also a rewarding challenge. The most enjoyable part is solving complex problems, and contributing directly to organizational growth.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There was nothing good about this company. The owner of the company ruled by fear. Everyone had to walk on eggshells when he was around. I’m sure the labour board has their hands full with complaints about this company.

Like I said in previous comment working out was fair was terrible. You had to walk on eggshells around the owner fear of your job.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The leadership is terrible and always changing their mind. The CEO constantly shifts priorities, so nothing ever feels stable. HR doesn't help and mostly protects the company instead of employees. Getting your paycheck or promised raise can turn into a stressful fight. Upper management ignores problems until they blow up. Rules and structure are basically nonexistent, leaving everyone stressed and confused. This place is exhausting, and there's zero support if you actually need it.

A genuinely caring, team-driven environment where everyone is united around a shared purpose. The organization truly supports its staff, encouraging personal growth and the pursuit of career excellence. There is a strong, authentic commitment to building community—within the office, on construction sites, and throughout the buildings for tenants—so people feel connected and valued. Ideas are welcomed with openness and discussed thoughtfully, fostering trust and collaboration. Overall, it’s a supportive organization that invests in its people and creates a place where employees can thrive.

Working with the Patry organization is both challenging and rewarding. I’ve developed strong analytical and communication skills through close collaboration with the property management and leasing teams. As the company continues to expand rapidly, the workload can be demanding at times. However, it provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Great workplace to work for when seeking out opportunities for experience and growth in your career. The staff are nice, welcoming people that care for each other. It is a very healthy workplace that allows for a great work life balance. The company strives to take care of its employees through various welcoming actives and events planned by the HR team. Overall, if you are looking for a property management team that supports one another and has management dedicated to supporting you grow, this place is for you.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The attitude form those at the is absolutely awful. Rude, cruel, and completely disrespectful behavior is constant. Employees are treated with zero dignity and every day becomes a stressful, draining experience. Public humiliation is common here. This is not a place that values people at all. Please be warned.

Management was supportive and encouraged growth, while the workplace culture was collaborative and inclusive. The hardest part of the job was meeting tight deadlines during peak periods, but the most enjoyable aspect was working with a dedicated team and seeing the tangible impact of our work.
