Working with the servers, especially those who have seniority, having to do most of the job duties, working for two instead of  one

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Some co-workers are good to work around while others are bit slower, pulling your weight and there's, fast paced on the weekend's and for caterings, working extra duties aside from the kitchen 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day is getting dress for work, clocking in 5 minutes to work, washing hands, checking the line for food/ingredients that needs to be stocked up prior to front of house(FOH) operations in cold holding, having sanitizer on line, cooking FOH orders when customers start entry into restaurant, maintain a sanitized work environment while performing cooking duties and making items on the menu, setting up the dish pit for operations while clearing left over dishes from the previous day into there proper holding place for another days using and assisting with the regular orders and cooking duties for the first half of the day, while the later half from noon, maintaining cleanliness of the cooking area while keeping the dish pit area operated and replenishing the dishes back to there shelving area and restocking the cold holding area on line with ingredients for the evening shift crew, helping with the inventory truck to restock inventory in the freezer and walk-in fridge for the weekly inventory and preparing any foods in BOH preparations for the next days work and weekends rush which would be completion of a days work.

Working at Perkins Restaurant has been a positive experience overall. The workplace culture fosters a sense of camaraderie among the staff, making it a good place to work. The team dynamics and collaborative environment have contributed to a fulfilling work experience. 

However, there is room for improvement in the management structure. While the overall atmosphere is positive, more effective leadership and communication from management could enhance the overall work environment. Clearer guidance and consistent support from leadership would contribute to a smoother workflow and employee satisfaction.

Despite the managerial challenges, Perkins provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and skill development. The supportive team and engaging tasks make it a rewarding place to build one's career. With some improvements in management, Perkins Restaurant could become an even more exceptional workplace.

I loved being able to learn the menu and they helped me grow as a cook

When it does get busy and your chit board is full, it is obviously really stressful but you clear your board rather quickly

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's pretty chill here. Managers and supervisors are pretty chill if you actually do your job and if there's down time and you start cleaning, they notice that won't be on you about cleaning

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It depends on the time of year. During the busy season you have to stock a lot but during the off season you can get away with not stocking certain things. If there's not a dishwasher you'll be bouncing between cooking and washing dishes sometimes but if it's pretty slow sometimes you can get away with not having to do dishes

So my experience working here was horrible, no communication, hours/promotions that were guaranteed were never followed through.
My typical day at work as a host, would be me basically being there cheap maintenance man and janitor that they never hired. I learned that you shouldn't always trust management with promises that they make. The hardest part of the job was being a gopher for the general manager. There was also no recognition for doing the job right. The workplace culture.... is very negative. I find that the hardest part of working for perkins was no communication what so ever, as well as no proper training but for the most enjoyable part of the job was working with some of the good staff, and working with the customers.

The shift i work is good, I'm cover which means I'm there 11-7, working with a team also to manage the Back of House alone for a time, i learned much about food and how to cook.
I am friends with a few managers and get along with those few well, most of my co workers are great and also are close friends so the work environment is good,
i would say the difficulty is being short staffed at times,  cant always prepare for that random moment when 20-40 tables come in at once but I'm confident in myself to get the job done well,
It is always great to see my co workers and so it doesn't make work always feel like work, but a fun place to be.

On a typical day at work I would start at either 8 am or 9 am and work until i was told to finish up. I would seat guests and deal with cash from the bakery sales and take out orders. I learned how to deal with guests in a timely manner and I am able to work well with money. My management team is very helpful and keep me working and will give me extra task to accomplish. My co-works have been very helpful to get my further into this busniess. They taught me how to deal with guests. The hardest part of my job is when it gets busy and having to deal with angry guests. The most enjoyable part is the interactions with guests and with my fellow co-workers

Working at Perkins has given me cooking as a life skill, which I will thankfully, never lose. The atmosphere can be very busy, but there is always an air of lightheartedness and humor which makes it enjoyable to work there. Management is always in control, keeping cooks and servers alike in line. The hardest part of the job would be coping with stress during a rush, just trying to get all of the food out and to the customers without having them wait too long. The best part of the job is, by far, the people. The humor and fun they bring to the kitchen makes it all worth while.

What is the best part of working at the company?
It is a ok place to work , the only thing is it is poorly mismanaged.  The management is the only thing wrong so don't expect raises, or professional problem solving , and expect to be treated poorly . And HR is a joke 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No management support, no HR,  you complain you get written up .  Management is horrible 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful , bad pay , they make it sound good but if it wasn't for the tips the pay would suck


What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Over worked under paid .. stressful and tirinf

Dishwasher position but a heavy work load. Duties include: Clean bathrooms (front and back of house) shovel snow, salt walk, lot garbage pickup, changing of overflowing dish pit garbages during rush, sweeping and mopping of dish pit area, wiping and cleaning dish pit walls, cleaning of dishwasher parts/traps.

All this nets you minimum wage and tip out. Demanding higher wage will get you fired immediately. DO NOT WORK HERE!

The hours are flexible and my co-workers are fun to work with.
I have been fully trained on serving with all different sized trays. Something I had never done before. The management has been very good to me trying to accommodate me with as many shifts as possible.
I love working with the customers the most. My regulars are great!
The hardest part of the job is that I don:t get enough shifts. I would like to have full time work which they can:t give to me at this time.
