This company on average has lots of work normally and most of the employees are very friendly with the exception for a few hot heads but what company doesn't have those. you do really get to learn a lot and use your new found skills in many different ways but its really easy to get to the glass ceiling and there really isn't much room for advancement up the corporate latter. so my advice get started here but when you become a 4th year or higher look out you might be let go real fast if you are not a corporate man first.

Don't count on making friends, be there for the work and money. At times some foremen get lazy or take advantage of their position, also some may be very much hypocritical, but apart from that the workers are skilled and most time respect each other, the work environment can me fun, and overall I'd say Prairie is a good company to work at.

The company is run efficiently with minimum staff in the office making work more consistently won on bids. It's a great company to build skills and have a long career with, I started as an apprentice and have no regrets over my 15 years spent working for them.

Watched a worker at the RDJC grind down beam clamps and many other scabby shotty practices. The foreman there are toxic and have their social skills from the 1960s with absolutely no clue how to treat workers 

Decent place to work and good amount of fabricators on the floor. Employment and hours are there, when there's work. During March to September, are the slow periods, and there are layoffs.

When I started working here, it was a great company. Steady work for someone who comes to work and wants to work, however there is a lot of turn over and near the end of my time, the company seemed disorganized.

I loved my time there. You feel comfortable and part of the team especially considering it's a pretty large sheet metal company. No complaints whatsoever.

It was a commercial sheet metal job. some guys are good, some guys not. depends on the crew. sometimes they had work sometimes not, why is this review mandatory? who knows.

Enjoyed my time there and most of the staff were great.  It’s a family owned business and they make a distinct effort to know the staff.  They treat there staff well.

not much for benefits, wage was lacking as was equipment for the size of the job. Management was also severely lacking. Al in all not the best company I've ever worked for.
