Customer's are awesome, the staff are fantastic and everyone really works quite hard. Unfortunately the management is awful, absolutely no respect for their staff! Staff is expected to put in 120% at all times, however when you need something from them, you are not entitled to it. 

They boast how fairly everyone is paid, but as most people have worked at other dealerships before, the wage is far below par!! Customer's are supposed to be #1, however at the end of the day they don't truly care about customer, only making huge profits at the coat of staff and customers. Company is FAR more concerned how they look to the community, and turn a complete blind eye to their staff.

Don’t work here!!! Peter the owner is an absolute demon. Who couldn’t care less about people. I would definitely describe him as a power tripper. They treat people like... There’s cameras everywhere so be careful or Peter will come down at you and make you feel like your the biggest piece of... , I worked here for 5 months, but then got demoted to and lower position. Without warning, with a big pay cut. This has been the worst place I’ve ever worked for in my life. If you want to be respected and have good job security I would absolutely recommend you don’t work here!!!!!. Save your self from being treated like the biggest piece of ...you have seen. 

Management will promise you the sun and the stars.  Offer you a low wage but high bonus that you will never achieve.  The manager is extremely arrogant and the owner is extremely unprofessional.  To the point where they will write on your pay stubs saying how unprofessional you are when you decide to leave that horrible place.  Customers vehicles will sit at the collision centre for weeks untouched.  Yet the management will blame the estimators for not motivating the technicians enough to get the vehicles ready quicker.  However they are in charge of the booking and therefore overbook and overwork their employees.  DO NOT WORK HERE.

I really enjoy working at Preston GM.The management is supportive and the rest of my co-workers are friendly and easy to get along with. What’s more, the work environment is always fun. You never stop learning at this company. While there are quite a few staff, the company is also very family oriented and there are a lot of get-togethers and company outings where you get to know your teammates better. I would recommend Preston GM to anyone looking for a job in the automotive industry, whether starting an entry level job or working as a seasoned technician.

I was originally hired at Preston GM 5 years ago, and in that time have quit and made the decision to return. The choice to come back was primarily based on the outstanding staff, and the way they welcome you and make you feel like family.

I have had the opportunity to work in every department, and can honestly say the management is positive and supportive and the staff is incredible across the dealership. Great team environment with lots of room for growth. 

The job can be hectic at times, like any job, but people are always willing to help in any way they can.

I am so happy to work here. I've been with the company for over 2 years now and I feel so happy to be here. 

The staff are wonderful and very caring. From the moment you start they all make you feel like you are part of a big family. 

The job workload can get stressful at times like any other place but when I've felt overwhelmed there's always been my supervisors and managers who are there to help me out. 

The general manager and director are wonderful and they are very hard workers. That's the only way you keep such a great company on its feet.

The fact that Preston GM called out an ex-employee for bringing to light their unprofessional behaviour is 100% telling of why they constantly have service advisor job openings. The pay is terrible. I was offered a job there after one 30 minute interview and turned it down in a heartbeat. There's no barrier to entry. Dealership mentality has it that they'd rather pay lowest possible wages and accept that lack of employee retention if a foregone conclusion. Stay away.

As an employee of over 10 years, Preston's is more than just a work place - it is a place where co-workers collaborate to improve and motivate the entire team.  Ownership works closely with management and staff to create a safe and supportive atmosphere to grow and promote skills.  Preston's is a family where we celebrate integrity, success, health and safety and somewhere i am very proud to work.

I worked at Preston for only 4 months as I decided to move my family to the island. I couldn’t say enough good things about this place and I was very sad to leave. Very well run, professional place. Management was extremely supportive and friendly. The pay plan was the best I’ve ever had and the traffic was sometimes overwhelming (that’s a good thing) Some of the staff has been there for 10 plus years, so there’s obviously a reason for that.

This is a good company to work for overall.  The salary is comparable to other companies in this industry but as always there is room for improvement..  The owner has high expectations but that is understandable when you want to be the best in the region. The work life balance could be improved as I don't seem to get enough time off to spend with my family so more vacation would be an improvement
