I my position it is required of me to do ongoing training and to keep current with all worksafe rules and regs. I have developed excellent people skills in doing my daily duties ensuring it is a safe and healthy site. I work closely with a management team implementing a health and safety program. The most difficult part of my job is helping workers know and understand that proper safety practices ensure their safety and are not in place to make their job more difficult, I guess it is all about a culture change. I enjoy the demand and daily challenges of my position the biggest reward is knowing every day I ensure that workers have a safe and healthy site.

Replacement of the ceiling joist to do the rot repairs
I learned how to minimized the cost for this replacements with out any other damage to the framing structural.
I managed the work and setup an easy directions for installation of
the new joist to get in to the existing ceiling with out damaging other
part of ceiling.
my co workers were so helpful with the technical experiences to
contribute to this work.
The hardest part of this work was the a little space we had
and we have to worked out.
The most enjoyable part was when the work was done according to the engineers order and BCBC.

This place is a disappointment, they claim to have so much work and how much they need you. they just failed to deliver. I left my perfectly good job thinking that I would have something nice and stable I work for them for 2 days and I got fired on the second day because I was 10 minutes late. With no warning or anything like that.

If you're looking for something consistent reliable and stable stay away from this company. And if you must work for them make sure you document everything in text or an email because they will try to play dumb. And waste your time. Just stay clear if you can.

Was bullied into working way out in ft Langley.  I was told to go there or go home. The super in langley was the oldest ,meanest condasending man I have ever met.  He would bark orders and call people "loser". He called me a lazy many times. I was told on the phone by one of the managers that my first aid ticket renewal would be covered by qualus , then told the next day that they would not. Liars, the two main ma agers are the most decietful people I have ever met. After I quit they sent my toe and marked it as being fired just to spite me.  Real mature
.stay away and look somewhere else.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Other quolus employees were reliable, and worked hard.  A lot were experienced skilled workers felt good I was a Quolus employee because of co-workers

Not sure when our last day would be

Very good workers, everyone treated each other well, a team effort

Construction laborer meant everyday was different

I was a first aid attendant for them .
On the jobsite I was on. I never got to do any first aid. I didn't gain any experience. All I ended up doing was general labour and traffic control . Cso would undermine my work . It was a very stressful place to be . When I asked to take courses to grow and advance.They said no to it . Even tho they offer the course and say they pay for them. 

You have to understand ... Quolus finds work for you. Your experience is 95% working with the people on the jobsite where you are placed. In my experience Quolus management does what they can to match workers - builders as best as possible. Reality is Quolus' client is the builder - they are more invested in their needs. Regardless of this I found that Quolus took care of me very well and I would recommend Quolus.

Overall I would say they do the best they can under the circumstances.  It can be challenging that your experience doing the same work can vary depending on who the customer is.  I have had 3 great experiences and 1 bad one so far.  But was I told them I wasnt happy they found me another position as soon as they could

Really enjoy my time at Quolus, everyone cares and you can tell.  Great clients and long standing relationships with developers.

Fair pay, room to advance and benefits.  Lots of different job sites so they can usually find spots near where you live

Sometimes you are on site by yourself or one other, other times there might be 20 Quolus employees or more.  They could do more to include those on less busy sites more often
