Working at Raywalt Construction as a laborer has been an incredibly positive experience for me. From the moment I joined the team, I was welcomed with open arms and felt like an integral part of the company. The work environment is friendly and supportive, and the entire staff is dedicated to fostering a culture of teamwork and growth.

One of the aspects I appreciate the most about Raywalt Construction is the emphasis on safety. Daily morning meetings of tasks for the day.  Safety checks on heavy equipment before day starts. Foreman's and site supers are always there to teach all that needs to be taught as long as you're willing to learn. Great opportunity to move up in position as long as you are willing to put the time and effort in. Awesome atmosphere. In the last 2 years, I have gotten 4 promotions and 5 raises and have not asked for either. So they do treat their employees very well as long as you show initiative and willingness to learn.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is outdoors, the culture is excellent except when it comes to management 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Most days are between ten and twelve hours long

The foreman was great but he moved on because of the micromanaging. Management would never admit they made a mistake and were only happy when you shut up and do your job. Constantly wanting us to start work prior to 7am and watched the clock when we were on breaks. Even if you did your absolute best, they wanted more but would never give back. Equipment was sub par and always breaking down then the operator was blamed. Safety was a joke. 

Worked for them years ago was the worst companies   to work for. Working conditions   were poor low  morale  poor wages no benefits of any kind Never had  paid  lunch. Never  seen or heard of season end  party.
In fact was asked by owners brother to run a pry bar over to another work area on the  outskirt of city  when I refused to use my own truck I was let go a couple days afterwards.
Never had a safety meeting in the time I worked for them.

I enjoyed the work and also the people i worked with and how much we could accomplished in a day. As usual you have on and off days but Raywalt was one of the best companies i have worked for. You had many options also you could be working in the ditch where we lay the pipe or you could be a machine operator so there were options you could choose from that suits your pros the best.

Well-maintained equipment. Good People Good Work. If you want to show up and work hard you will be rewarded. Old School is the work ethic and getting things done safely with a minimum of administrative interference.  Hard hat and boot? Ok lets go!

If you like seasonal work and don't ask questions like, 
Do we have the moving permit?
Do we have a plan? 
Can I get a pilot?
Then its a good place. However if you dont do what your told they'll fire you, regardless of safety or legal issues that are present. But they pay good....

-Busy work day
-Learnt to pay close attention to detail
-Management was okay but could use improvement
-Hard physical labour, but rewarding at the end of the day
-Most co-workers were great, but company could use work on screaning
-It was enjoyable being outside and change of scenery

Raywalt is a great work environment. It is challenging at times and always changing, witch keeps you interested and makes the days feel short. If you’re willing to put in a good effort there is always room to improve and climb the ladder.
