I have worked at the Abbotsford Red Wing location for 3 years. I am always happy coming into work. Very tight-knit family vibe , great co-workers , amazing manager and fantastic store owner! It's honestly the best job I've ever had. Everyone that you deal with in upper management is so humble and very friendly to deal with as well. I feel very honored to be a part of the Red Wing Family! Very approachable manager, very supportive team members and a very rewarding job in dealing with customers day in , day out . Red Wing takes the time to train you properly and support you. They give you all the keys to be the best! A typical day at Red Wing is giving fantastic customer service, cleaning and conditioning Red Wing footwear, talking with customers and sharing all the outstanding knowledge that Red Wing shares with you. You definitely DONT feel like a number with this company! I always feel seen and heard

I show up to do my paper work (was not made clear if I was formally starting or not and nor was there a scheduled time) and was told that I did not have a job anymore.

Not sure as to why this was but ya dont waste your time.

Biggest waste of an opportunity. 
I will be speaking with HR about this and making sure your employees are coached properly. 

They don’t care about the entry level workers at all. I was constantly screamed at for little to no reason by the GM. After talking to the owners about my treatment, they brushed it off and told the GM about everything I said without consulting me. There was zero code of conduct. I love the shoes, they’re great quality and they have a vast selection. However, I’m turned off of buying them because I don’t want to support the owners that never supported me. 

The manager didn't train me on anything but how to wash the boots. Then they would get mad at me for not knowing how to do something. Watch them completely disregard the customers' wants and needs multiple times. I felt very uncomfortable due to unprofessional topics the manager would talk about.  (i.e. personal information, stories, and family issues.)

Save yourself the stress and avoid this company! Mean girl work environment. Lies, gossip, cattiness and bullying are their values. Management doesn’t care about employees and will fire you if you bring up anything that’s wrong. There’s a reason this position is constantly open… AVOID! I wish someone saved me the headache of wasting my time with this company. 

I worked here many years ago, and its a disaster zone! Management and owner of this store are horrible and treat employees with no respect. I quit this job as I could no longer handle the manager whom by the way is the owners daughter...Lots of favoritism here.

I had experience in work boots sales and they made sure I had the Red Wing Shoes University to specialise in their product. I was treated really well and felt appreciate. I learned a lot. I met a good people like co-workers and customers.  It balanced my life/work and I miss a lot that.

Nothing really stressful working there

So friendly…… and nice people

The job and duties were enjoyable however support and management from management was definitely questionable. Felt like you were walking on egg shells. 

I absolutely love working here! The owners are wonderful, and offer a lot of encouragement. The manager and coworkers are super supportive, I always look forward to seeing them. Very good pay for retail, couldn’t be more satisfied with a job!
