I worked there for over 3 years and should have left after 1. There is an ingrained toxic culture from the highest levels of management. Any attempt to improve processes is met with several reasons to maintain the status quo - it is an expectation that all salaried employees put in 50 hours per week with no overtime paid - I refused and was labelled a "troublmaker". The salaries are typically a bit too low for our marketplace but not terribly so... I did enjoy dealing with our drivers and helping them out but, in the end that was not enough for me. I would recommend that anyone looking into a job there think very, very hard about what they want. If you want to advance your learning, career or position - forget this place. If you want to coast and get a paycheck every 2 weeks and that's all... maybe it is for you.

This company is the bottom feeder of the transportation industry. Profit margins are small in transportation but this places takes the cake in cheap labour. If he could the owner would pay people by piece labour. The benefits are trash, there is NO WORK LIFE BALANCE NONE. If your salary is 50k or higher you are expected to work 50 hours minimum per the owner. The management team is disconnected from the rest of the workforce it is scary. No care for employee wellbeing. Sorry if you are looking for career advancement this is not the place. The company is just not built for growth. Whatever position you are hired in that is where you will stay until you quit. I spent 1 year too long there. 

Typical work day is filled with politics. HR is useless, senior management is even more useless. People are quitting in droves. You get a commission that hardly ever pays out and when it does you have to literally harass HR to give you the full amount. No bonus for salaried employees. No work from home either. Luckily being in sales I didn't have to go into the office. The only saving grace. Feel sorry for other salary employees. Morale is level 0. Gossip is level 100. When you have 5 senior people resign in 5 months you should know the problem is not the employees. 

It was great going in the morning and everyone greeted with a smile and ready, able and willing to work. I learned that having good work relationships and positive reinforcements is key to an efficient, productive and enjoyable workplace. Management was available when issues arose and always assisted when needed. The hardest part would be new/old customers leaving/going as well as employees and still trying to improve or maintain the existing work environment. I really enjoyed learning more about what I was capable of as well as what others are as well when working in a true team environment.

it was a great place to work at. me and the co-workers were like family however the owner refused to make most of us that had worked there for 2 years part of the company which would have given us a significant raise in our pay. he kept us with the job placement agency which only paid us 13.50/hr. after working there for 2 years i was only able to get a raise to 14.50. overall that was my only issue it was a great place to work at as far as the people you are working with which is sometimes rare in the job world. 

They so many loose ends on their day to day operations that blame each other for the short comings. There is no concrete management in their Brampton location to take control of the disaster they created. If you voice your opinion you will become the outcast and will be out of a job. Very backward minded management running the place! Glad I walked away from that place. It is all about who you know, not what you know.

The management are not organized most time they failed to accept there mistakes  and most of there Trucks are old this make the jobs to be tedious at time when the truck stop on the road having mechanical issues 

The organization is mismanaged by a few individuals that are not good at their jobs and not truthful with employees or customers. Employees are disposable and not treated well. Annual  raises are promised but not given, and blame is placed on things not in employees control. From my experience I would so unless you are desperate do not work here.

I'd arrive at work in the morning and unload trailers full of totes and boxes filled with clothing. Then we'd start packaging clothes from a section where another group is picking. Then we strap them and send them back into the trailer. Its easy and the hours are good, plus very lax and can use your phone or whatever. 

working at remco was some what an experience for me but there were days i didnt get my full hours at the beginning it was okay but later on the hours got short. some of the co-workers were good to work with while others were not. management at some times were harsh and dont use their heads also but were okay to work with. there was nothing hard about the work everything was smooth and easy
