Taken advantage of by this company. They promise the moon and don't deliver. Get others to do their dirty work for them and then let them go. You can have excellent reviews with maxed-out bonuses and then get let go for no reason other than restructuring and company changes. Even though you're the only person to get restructured. Micro-managed beyond belief. No clear goals and achievable as they are constantly changing minds and direction. Tell you that they want you to make decisions and thrive only to have 4 members of upper management call you a day each with their ideas and dirrection. Small-town gossip is king. If you are a veteran employee all you have to do is threaten to quit and you will get whatever you want and be Promoted. All at the detriment of other employees. Pay lip service and never follow through on all-important issues. Only care about the bottom line. HR and other “consultants” run rampant and protect the select few. Trying to grow too fast with the incorrect structures and operations in place. Poor systems and hiring practices. To many Micro departments and cooks in the kitchen, all making different decisions and trying to have them Executed. Need to get back to basics and stop making the same mistakes over and over.

Make poor managers.

Working on the sales team has been very enjoyable, I have the pleasure of working with a fantastic team, and an amazing group of Contractors. Everyday I learn something new, whether its from a co worker or training that the company has set me up on. If you have a passion or want grow into a different position the Management team will lead you to success. 

Typical day is wondering around, looking for part numbers that don't match your sheet. You will be ridiculed by the inept manager for not making 4 assumptions to find the parts. The culture is garbage, most employees are burnt out and unhappy. They're constantly hiring for associates because the manager is disrespectful, condescending, and disorganized. If they make a mistake, you'll be staying late to fix it, and 1/3rd of the pay that the manager who screwed up is paid. 

Continuing to work at Rideau has been a true pleasure. I enjoy coming to work every day. I've been provided with many opportunities to grow and progress within the company if I wanted to, and I continue to grow thanks to the support of Management and the Executive team. Like every growing company there is room for improvement which they are constantly working on. Overall Rideau Supply is a great company to work for and I would recommend to anyone looking for a rewarding and enjoyable career.    

I was there almost a year with no write ups or any issues. I was let go today with no  heads up and given the reason that they are making changes. After being told by supervisors and managers that i was one of the hardest working people there and same would be said by fellow employees 

All talk they just want you're experience as truck driver they treat you overly friendly first day then there is a 2 day training course they leave you too it mostly whole day by yourself then the dude next too you has some anger issues as he doesn't want be bothered by questions .
Soon as you go downstairs for smoke everyone is starring at you awkwardly  I left on 2nd day didn't return dodge a bullet apparently.

Just the co workers and the overtime

The management team is disorganized and lack leadership

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They portray a company that cares for there employees but it's all talk. There turnover rate is proof

Honestly a pretty good company to work for I worked in the back of the warehouse. Been a few years since I worked there and have heard thing's are running good still. Pay was good and it did have benefits that helped out. Mostly packaging orders and stocking shelves. Hours can be long but the coworkers are good people.

Lots of confusion from upper management, and consequently between employees..  Hours long and never consistent.  Pay is joke grade.  Fast paced some of the time.  But always maximum confusion throughout the ranks.

A typical day of work is pretty straight forward. Pick orders unload and offload trucks, and stock product. Some coworkers are good and fun to be around, with the vocal minority making the workplace to be a toxic mess
