I very rarely leave reviews, however, this business is most deserving on one.
Very friendly atmosphere.  Employees are very polite and professional.  Family orientated, which is a very good cause I have a young family.  Willing to work with you when personal issues arise.  The owners has an open door policy and makes time for the employees.  Even though S&T have grown over the years its keeps the small business mentality.  Where people are people and not numbers like the big companies.  Thank you for all you do.

a typical day at work would be getting to the shop pre tripping the truck and getting dispatch sheet for the morning job, drive to site, talk to customers to acquire work permits and the job scope, to complete the job above satisfactory. the hardest part of the job i found was training new swampers and making sure they are safe and comply with all the safety regulations, the most enjoyable part of the job for me was doing a variety of different jobs and working outdoors

At this company, it's like stepping into a drama-filled whirlwind every day. You're promised steady work, but the reality is a mess of disorganization and favoritism. Bosses with inflated egos make for a frustrating environment, and dispatch seems to operate on its own time. It's hard to feel valued when you're just a number, and safety often takes a backseat to politics. The only silver lining? Getting home each night, if you can endure the headache of the workday.

Everything about this company is a complete joke. Management, equipment, safety, dispatch. You name it! The boss claims he has an "open door" policy yet we have to schedule an appointment which is very difficult with his busy life. The supervisors are not well trained, they don't follow company procedures and they're quick to blame the drivers. Dispatchers here are the worst I've ever seen, incredibly disorganized. 

Favouritism is widespread here. The "family" atmosphere promoted by management can be deceptive. Trust isn't always easy to come by, and you may find yourself walking on eggshells.

Despite claims of being a close-knit family, it might feel more like a private club. Gossip and a lack of accountability can both contribute to a less-than-ideal work environment.




This company is a mess from top to bottom. The bosses need to actually keep their "open door" promise and be more available. Supervisors should learn the ropes properly and follow the rules they're supposed to enforce. And the dispatchers need a serious wake-up call to get their act together. Avoid this headache if you can, but if they want to turn things around, they need to start by fixing these issues.

If youre looking for a place that treats everyone fairly this isn’t it. They play favourites here so unless you’re in with the right people dont expect much support or a chance to move up. Management only seems to help out certain ppl and the rest are left to figure things out on their own. Not a great spot if you’re after a job where hard work and loyalty really pay off.

Bad Part:

They've got lots of work, but it all hangs by a thread. Imagine building a tower of blocks, and if just one block goes, the whole thing crashes. That's what it feels like here. They rely too much on just a couple of big companies, and if those companies slow down, so does your job.

It's not a place for job security, that's for sure.

    - Good entry point for the oilfield industry.
    

Cons:

    - Favoritism: Some people get better treatment.
    - Drama and Gossip: Lots of it going on.
    - Management doesn't do much about these issues.
