A demanding and challenging job at the same time. There is an overload of paperwork with time frames that really make you feeling frustrated some times, however, working in a non profit company and having to deal every day with people of low income background, immigrants and people who striving to find themselves in the society and move forward their appreciation is the only thing that matters and soothes your frustration and fatigue.
The workplace environment is a perfect one and could not thing of a better one.

The best part of working here is the great coworkers. The team is supportive and friendly. However, there is very little training offered and you are often left on your own to figure things out or fix past mistakes. There always seems to be a lot of catching up and correcting to do, which adds to the stress. Communication is not always consistent, and overall the work environment can be quite challenging.

This is the worst place to work for the company is very disorganized and there is no communication at all.   They are very deceptive and they give misinformation to the owners of the properties they manage and the caretakers that keeps the buildings clean Sam management bullies them and calls them names.  There is absolutely no positive experience 

This is a not for profit and the salaries reflect that. Don't expect to make good money here. The work load is extensive for the pay. They've definitely never heard of "minimum effort from minimum wage earners." Most staff are a door mats for management and tenants to dump their problems on. Heavey focus on social housing means more baby sitting than running a project.

Company has huge staff turnover, no communication within office, sat first three days because they didn't set up computer at desk, no procedures in place for application process in leasing. Approves applications without checks just to fill units. No parking other than street and that's for 1 hr only then you have to move your car.

Sam management was a great company to work for until we stated losing key people( ie: caring for the little guy's ) company started pilling more work on others .there was never a stable or one person there for long in office changes happened always left hand does not know what right is doing . in my 3 yrs i have seen 6 property managers go thur my building .

Great work environment but the work load is to much for the pay and high turnover has caused a lack of communication and organization. Best part was my coworkers. Worst part was the lack of organization and the general managers lack of understanding of what her staff actually does and the lack of involvement in the day to day goings on of the company.

The company culture is one of the most important thing for SAM, I received the support I needed as a newcomer to succeed and start my new life in Winnipeg. The work they do as a non profit, gave me a sense of purpose because you know you are helping families, and people in general.

The office culture and the other staff working were kind, helpful, and knowledgable. The management team is disorganized and unprofessional. Swearing in an office atmosphere is not acceptable in my opinion or at employees.

It's a thankless hi stress position as building caretaker that demands your complete attention 24 hours a day. The buildings need 24 hour security and a strict drug and alcohol policy that is completely ignored,  bad management too. As soon as a good person is hired ,they either fire them or they run away with their tails between their legs.
