Working at SRG has been a truly rewarding experience. I’ve found that the collaborative culture and supportive management create an environment where innovation and professional growth are encouraged. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn, which has allowed me to expand my skill set considerably.

One of the things I appreciate most is the open communication across all levels of the company. Whether it's through regular team meetings or one-on-one sessions with leadership, I always feel heard and valued. Additionally, the company’s commitment to work-life balance has made it possible for me to manage my professional responsibilities while still having time for personal pursuits.



I have been there for over a year, and I do my job and got along with everyone, but management would alter my schedule and the clients would complain about the smallest things, toxic work environment where the client second guess themselves and I would mind my own business and get grief for do my job and having some downtime, managers take advantage of you and if I did things by the book, I would sometimes get criticized and when the client wanted to go in a different direction my ex-boss instead of telling me on the last day I was working makes me come in and the next day and says you are no longer working here, making me get my things and having co-workers wondering what just happened, that is not professional and they have no respect for their workers and get underpaid, overwork

Depending on the site you are stationed at can vary as no 2 sites are  not the same. 
I've learnt self confidence and how to be out going. 

SRG goes through office staff continuously, especially schedulers.
Guards are normally not updated as to who the new personal at the office is. 

The hardest part about the job is isolation as the Guards are a 3rd party.
Far to often there is no back up from SRG or the client. 
You really need to have your smarts about you and be ready for any situation that could arise at any given moment. 

New Guards struggle the most, no fault to their own, they lack the knowledge of experience. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is all the various people you meet.
Guards are the first point of contact and first impressions are so important is representing SRG and the client.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They treat you amazing until things go wrong there is no upper management support and will fire you for something that is out of your control 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
All of it there is no support and the MB division is left to fend for it self and when things go wrong upper management swoops in and tried to make it look like they are so involved....also they do not pay enough for what they expect out of you 


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful, chaotic, underpaid 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressed on my way into work cause you always knew something was going to go wrong

Typically your day will be, mixed. You'll have some quiet moments or a few hours that nothing happens, but at a blink of an eye it can get chaotic so be ready at any time.

Management is a joke because its super slow for things to happen, sometimes they won't even tell you a change or you'll be unexpectedly training someone new. Workplace culture is really diverse, however you'll work alone almost always.

The hardest part of the job, is getting used to the 12 hour shifts and the most enjoyable part of the job is getting 2-3 days off at a time.

It’s not a big Security Organization in Manitoba as they have very few sites therefore making it difficult if you are looking for Full time hours as you may not find that.

This company is very fun and filled with great people to work with. The job itself, is quite slow and a change of pace from most security companies. I enjoy the workplace but feel very slack when I am on shift as there isn't a whole lot to be done from a security officers stand point.

There is no typical day at work.  Working at an international airport there is always something new.  You never know everything you are continuously learning something new.

The most enjoyable part of the job is interacting with a full range of people including airport employees to the travelling public.

I really enjoy my work I am very happy to work with SRG they always understand the situations for everyone they’re really helpful also I will really happy they give me one straight shift for whole week

Management will throw you into bad sites for low pay. Union doesn’t help you they just want the cut on your paycheque. Better to avoid such a disaster of a company in the first place.
