I loved my job, Had it for 20+ yrs. Wish I could have it back.  

I enjoyed everything about it.  I loved making up the court dockets, loved inputting for Assessors.  Worked for Lawyers.  Fast pace at times was exciting.  There was always something different.  Helping clients with their property issue felt good.  Dealing with Head Office on clients behalf, knowing that they could trust me.I had clients that would come in and ask for me alone to help them, that felt great.  I tried to treat them as I wanted to be treated.

Management was my down fall.  There was no proper guidance, they used favoritism amongst the personnelle.  They (management) did not deal with (confront) office issues when needed.

For me, the hardest part of job was really not being listened too by management or Union.  Complaints fell upon deaf ears.

The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing I could go in the office, catch up on Assessors work.  Knowing that it was my job to have them up and running the next day.  I enjoyed knowing at the end of the day, I supported my team that I loved.  Christmas, Easter, any holiday, it didn't matter, I spent a lot of holidays in the office because I ENJOYED MY JOB!

Location at hospital in Saint John can be stressful, unless you are a doctor or nurse at times treated as a lower class employee at times.
It is very Woke and you are expected to conform if not even if union they will fi d a way to get rid of you. Raises are few and far apart as last year was first time in 13 years.
The general public thinks you have a cushy job with great pension,  but most people are casual and takes years to full-time so do not expect a great pension. 
Middle management will be nice to your face and put a dagger in back to impress upper management in Fredericton, you will be required to be up to date on Covid shot by the doctors who still over a year later walk around with level 1 masks, at your own risk and now your health status has to be known to your employer!

You could buy prorated vacation days 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working on a system that was constantly giving problems, being micromanaged every step of the way, not having the support you needed to do your job successfully. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic work environment. Not having the tools to do your job successfully. Being told you’re “part of a family” which was a horrible thing to say. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Constant Teams meetings where nothing gets accomplished. Working on a system that is broken and is not user friendly.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Enjoyed helping the elderly … and always learning soemthing new .. makes for an interesting job

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The inconsistency of how things are down and how each employee is treated differently 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good.. challenging at times.  But as a strong team player I believe that’s what gets a person through the day most times  
Can run into some difficult clients but for the most part clients were great

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Never a typical day for sure.  Non2 days were the same which has its  good and bad points for sure

The most enjoyable part of my job is dealing with the public.  I also had an excellent rapport with my co-workers which made my employment with the government for so many years more enjoyable.  For the most part the management was fair and listened when there were problems that only they could resolve.  I would only ask for help when absolutely necessary but they were always available when  need presented itself.

Everyday I learn something new. This job keeps me challenged to find more efficient ways to serve my customers. I feel empowered to make my own decisions based on my use of judgement. My co-workers and I work together at times to deliver our best service and to provide assistance when needed. Very fast paced environment and a constant need to pay very close attention to detail. A continuously changing environment which demands flexibility in hours and energy. Most enjoyable part of my job is the acknowledgement and appreciation from co-workers, clients, and management on a job well done.

Service New Brunswick provided constant change of people needing assistance with a variety of matters.

I learned about registering a variety of vehicles, issuing marriage licenses, hunting licenses, gun transfer permits.

Management was rarely part of the day to day work. 

People worked cooperatively and helped others when required

The hardest part of the job was calculating registration allowances for highway transport trucks

The easiest part of the day was interacting with a wide variety of transactions and people.

Simply stated - Challenging, rewarding and full of an amazing work family.  I learn daily from everyone in my office and the hardest part of my job is sometimes not being challenged.  The most enjoyable part is making everyone happy and succeeding in what I do with focus, determination and success! :-)

I worked for Service New Brunswick as a Procurement Analysts and loved my job. My manager and supervisor were amazing to work for. I also valued the team that I worked with. 

Unfortunately when I went in maturing leave my contract was officially terminated I no longer had a job to go back to.

Working with Service NB in the payroll & benefits department was one of the best jobs, and job experiences I've ever had. The training was detailed and comprehensive. Everyone was willing to help teach and share in getting work completed in time. Management was amazing!!! A very supportive environment over all.  It is a team environment. Everyone was respectful and friendly.
